Pretty sure 1M is my next car.

With figures I have been given it should be about £44,700 for a White one or £45,200 for Orange one. Pretty sure I won't get black.

Those figures are for nearly fully loaded and delivered.

Still hoping for Euro delivery or collection.

C'MON BMW...cut the deal with Military Sales and give us first priority! What a PR story that would be! :-)

I will get one too... If I can sell my actual during next year. But I still don't know if Black or Orange.... I think I need to see orange in person.

Ordered one a while ago, unless it's at E90 M3 prices, I will certainly get one.

Not unless I win the lottery or get an unexpected bonus!

At 20 months old and with 17k miles on the clock, I have been offered almost exactly half the 1M's UK list price for my 135i as a trade-in price against a new car, notwithstanding that with all the options, my 135i listed at only £2k less than a standard 1M. Therefore, given that, great car that it is, a new 1M simply isn't worth to me over twice (once you add the options) the price of my current car to which it isn't actually all that different.

So, sadly, financial logic dictates no 1M for me. Had I not bought the 135i and still had my old car and the cash in the bank, the position would be very different. I would then almost certainly have my name down for the 1M.

I am not sure how 1M practicality comes to being. It has 4 seats but it really sits 2. Try getting 4 over 6' person into 1M/135i and will soon realize on cramped and unbearable.

It helps to have the top down...Ive gotten 10 people in my car at once and one of them was 6' 5"

But seriously I was thinking about getting one to replace my vert when I come off lease in august but Im just not sure I can deal with having a roof over my head.

Let's hope sales are good and they bring out the convertible version! if those rumors are true

Makes sense for you. I know you had your share of problems with the vert.

Yeah I have but ive been problem free for the last 10K miles. So we mightve solved them all. Ive been toying with the idea of waiting 3 years an picking up a Fiesta Turbo, if they ever come out, and saving the 135 as a weekend car and outfit her for track duty.

Agreed, as neither am I on this one. But fun to think about anyway now that we don't have another 1M unveil to wait for.

Glad to hear you've had a solid last 10K miles.

I really really wanted one...but the timing didn't work out for me....so I just took delivery of my second 135--this time with the DCT.

I don't think I would have ever known what I was missing with the DCT until now--all my previous cars have been manuals...but the fact that this generation's 1M won't get one would now probably make me pass on one...

I seriously cannot believe how much faster the N55 with DCT feels...I have no idea if it really is, but man does it feel that way...

I think I will be right in line for the next 1M though...

+1 on DCT. I really like 1 M , but no DCT? That is a deal breaker for me. I always had MT cars untill i got 2006 e46 m3 with SMG. It was fantastic to drive on the track. And as a daily driver. Traded it for E92 M3 DCT(my daily driver)and now i have 135i DCT(my track car and a daily driver). Let me tell you that DCT is a lot better than SMG in every way and is a monster on the track.Only the BMW owners with DCT who track cars will know exactly what i mean.

Did anyone speak to their dealers about test driving the car before ordering? I have the feeling test drives will be hard to come by for this M.
Test drive will determine 1M vs E9x M3 purchase for me

Dealer just told me two people had deposits down already. $5,000 for deposit, yes 5K! And nothing is guaranteed obviously.
For that kind of deposit you'd better get the future BMW supercar.
No thanks

hahhahahahh 5k deposit on a 1M. This car will end up as the most unaffordable M car in history of Ms because of markups
