What is the sale price? I'm adding a PnP version up to $579 without the data logging cable....which is the same price that BMS offers it on their site. Am I missing something?

I see now what eyeman was refering to by his radio display mod.
I found out what eyeman was talking about.... the search function is our friend! lol eyeman wrote: "Many of us use a trimmed piece of overhead transparency film strategically position to shift the polarization on the radio display so we can still see it with polarized sunglasses." |

Thank you for the feedback. A little concerned about getting a tune for 2 main reasons.
1. the car is being leased and I will be giving it back and getting an M1 or M3. 2. I live in Calgary Canada, higher altitude and tunes are not always well suited to location. What about Angel Eyes, Cold Air Intake or other visual / performance mods. Last edited by e85sbm; 06-14-2010 at 10:00 PM.. |

Sway bars are good, but the car is just used for street use and I don't have a garage to install it...maybe a strut bar, but they are outside my range...should I save up and re-look at my options?
Is there any way to add a JB3 or ProCede easily, and is removable for lease end? |

Once removed, it is undetectable and you can always choose to resell the unit to a member on this board. |

What about a strut bar...is this a good option?
I know my target dollar figure is low, but there seems to be a promising list of mods. With a short-shift kit...how hard is the install and do I need to buy a new shift boot?? Last edited by e85sbm; 06-16-2010 at 01:31 PM.. |

No. It comes with everything. The install is pretty easy, there is a DIY somewhere around here or on E90post(same thing). The hardest part of the install are the 2 little clips underneath the car. Took me about 1hr to do it.

The JB3 is the best for a lease car. I'm sure you could resell it at the end of the lease for half what you paid for it - but enjoy the car the whole time!
N54 engines may be being phased out, but there are a whole bunch of them out there. |

I don't agree with everyone saying get a JB3. People have thrown codes with the JB+. not to mention the JB3, so if you throw a code and your dealer reads it when they check your ECU, then you can throw your warranty out the window if your chip even might have caused whatever problem your car may have.
You'll need a 300 dollar BavTec scanner (can be used on up to 3 different cars, so if you split with 2 other people its a hundred bucks) if you want to use any JB. I know most times your JB won't throw a code, but is it really risking your warranty over? A front or rear (recommend front first) sway bar can be added for a little over 200 bucks, and that greatly reduces body roll. You can get a few "smaller" mods for that money.. such as a lighting or cosmetic kits kits like Interior Xenon kit (90 bucks or 160 bucks) GP thunders / MTEC bulbs (30 bucks), LED Angel eye kits (weisslicht, RD, Bellof, Lux, etc for less than 200 bucks), D1S Headlight Bulbs (less than 200 bucks) license plate LEDs (50 bucks), roundel overlays (20 bucks), grilles (60-120 bucks depending on material/type), splitters without the lip spoiler (60-100 bucks), etc etc.. Some CF parts, such as CF mirror casings for less than 200, or a non-OEM CF spoiler for 200 bucks or a little over. Or you can save your money
