With my options and a S7Edge sounds like I need the WMA3000B. Has anyone had success with a S7Edge and the WMA3000B?

I think you are right. I have one on my wife's mini. Works well.
Not sure if your buttons on the steering wheel will work. That might just an iPhone only thing. Not sure. |

Installed the WMA3000B and works great with my S7 Edge. It pairs every time and sound quality is awesome like you said. Steering volume works and skip works in reverse order for some reason, so down to skip forward but hey I can't complaint skip works. Thanks a lot for helping with this.

Reviving this topic a bit.
Picked up a 135i recently as a daily. Ordered the WMA3000B model and if I plug it the AUX cable all the way in, the right side audio sounds terrible and faded. If I only plug in half way it sounds good but probably will disconnect when driving over bumpy roads. I read thru this topic and looked online based on my VIN and it doesnt show the COMBOX option. Iits a 2011 with Professional Radio and Harmon Kardon.

Had a direct AUX cable and sound was loud and crisp, base was perfect. Could also hear calls thru the car speakers. I returned the WMA3000B today, sent back to Amazon. Received a couple calls this week and it would cut off my music like if it was going to switch to the call but then couldn't hear anything on the car, had to switch to speaker on the cell. Is this the only Bluetooth solution 1 series owners use? I used in different car a USA SPEC box which connected to a satellite radio channel and was great, but not sure they support BMW.

Returned it and went back to AUX cable. Rather have it wired than deal with a shitty product.

Like I said not sure what's up with yours but mine works perfectly. Switches back and forth from music to calls as needed & sound quality is better than any other I've found.

There are two on amazon. One from bovee and one from viseeo, even though bough are titled bovee. The visual difference is on the device itself - different writing Tune2air vs Bovee.
The one from viseeo had problem with jack, the way you described. One from bovee works fine in that regard. The problem I have is though that steering wheel controls don't work with Galaxy S8 and often after a minute radio switches itself to FM. What year is your car? Maybe the older car module version would work. In which case I would consider flashing it. |

This is my first post - New E82 owner
Did some reading - bought the Bovee model "B" for BMWs and supposed to work with android. Like others..... mine, after about a minute, the bluetooth will switch to the radio on its own. I'll put it back on ipod, then after another minute is goes back to radio. I also notice that when I select ipod, the HU face will read "loading" Hoping I'm doing something wrong - if not, what have you toher Android users ended up doing? Thanks . . . . |

Yeah, it will probably not work. It's weird that there were some reviews that it worked. Maybe with older firmware of the radio. We could possibly go one version older, but I think someone said it doesn't work either. The oldest radio firmware maybe works, but it is impossible to get it, because it was delivered from the factory on the units and never appeared in update packages for dealers in SP_DATENS.
I am not going to waste time for that. I am thinking of something different. And I don't actually care about song names, just Previous/Next buttons. Basically a A2DP/AVRCP bluetooth receiver for few bucks - controlled by small CAN interface chip. The whole thing could possible to be hidden behind the Radio trim, where K-CAN and Audio Jack cables can be accessed. Here is what's needed: -Some good bluetooth receiver with buttons https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -Controller https://www.amazon.com/ESP8266-micro...ywords=esp8266 - CAN controller https://www.amazon.com/CHENBO-Electr...ywords=mcp2515 - Some voltage regulator https://www.amazon.com/JacobsParts-M...s=5v+step+down ESP8266 can work with arduino so then library from this guy can be used https://scottsnowden.co.uk/esp8266-c...-with-mcp2515/. The CAN message ids for the buttons from my repository. https://github.com/dzid26/opendbc-BM...mw_e9x_e8x.dbc BO_ 470 SteeringButtons: 8 XXX SG_ Volume_DOWN : 2|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX SG_ Volume_UP : 3|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX SG_ VoiceControl : 8|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX SG_ Telephone : 0|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX SG_ Next_up : 5|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX SG_ Previous_down : 4|1@0+ (1,0) [0|1] "" XXX Some soldering, a little bit of coding and it should do the job. Good thing about it is that in theory this setup could be hidden and updates to ESP8266 performed using Wifi (hidden SSID) to add new features. For example - shutdown the bluetooth when Radio is off - based on some CAN status. Or pause the music when door is opened. I'd like to do it, but I am kinda busy making "self driving" E82 using OpenPilot. Damn Last edited by dzid_; 04-16-2019 at 03:01 PM.. |

The Bovee I have in both our cars (BMW & Mini) are working great still. I saw a note in another thread that to have the wheel controls work you have to have at least 1 song synced through I tunes.

I guess it makes sense, I use it to play spotify mostly, wondering if the skip/forward will work with spotify as it seems this is optimized for itunes since it makes it look like an "ipod"? Will give it a shot and see... |

Added itunes back, and boom. problem solved. I'm just going to delete the songs and add a sound file that's completely silent to mitigate this stupid auto play issue. |
