Pipes look great! I'm very surprised to see true dual with no X pipe or 2ndary cats installed. Question for you. Once you lower the car, how close are those pipes to the ground? They look like they run completely under the diff.
When's the planned first test event? |

It's possible that some pieces may be touching the heat shielding - Borla does want to do some more fit testing. Here it was at the Borla booth at Bimmerfest Coming to a BMW Club Race soon (hopefully) Our friend Megan (you may not recognize her as Suitcase girl #6 on the game show 'Deal Or No Deal') One last look before going in the trailer

Well, Bimmerfest was fun, but it's back to work. Our cage builder, Dave Stohlman at Impact Engineering picked the car up from me at the end of the show.
http://www.impact-engineering.com/ One of the notable projects they've done was the build up of the BMW Diesels that race in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill A couple of the things that will be going into the car: Jaffster racing shift knob from TC Designs: www.tcdesignfab.com Safety Equipment from Sparco (Harnesses, fire system, seat). Here's the Pro ADV seat that they have out these days: www.sparcousa.com

We'll hang on to them until such time that we have a firm wheel sponsorship in place with the right fitment. Very often, we'll keep them as 'rollers' to use in between events.

I think we may have caught a lucky break - here's the story:
I didn't order this car - this car had been ordered by someone else early in Crevier's 1 series request list that decided to buy some other car instead. So when I was trying to get a production number to order a car, Judy Ray found this car on the way with no name on it. So we took it! A 135i with nothing but sport package - pretty much just fell into our laps. Well, when the news came out about the v81 software, I groaned, but I checked with the service department and our build date is listed as Feb/08. So it looks like jumping on this car may have been a great decision.

Hey Scott,
Shane (defcon1racing) here. I'm pretty sure we've "met" before over at RoadFly (E46 M3 board). Anyways, this is a very cool project and I really like the race livery shown in your new sig. Looking forward to seeing the "real" thing. Best wishes this season.

We do a pretty simple livery (shows the sponsors decals better), but what I do is try to jazz it up a little with embedded images in some of the areas. On the e46 M3, we put embedded images in the black areas of the car. For this car, I'm going to try and switch it around a little and put the embedded images in the red areas. How do we do that? With printable stretchable vinyl (like they decorate busses with) from Modern Image in Huntington Beach www.modernimage.net So we come up with a basic rendering for how the car will look (meet Teo at MI) Then I work with Max to design the embedded image file that we'll use for the red areas of the car. You can't tell from here, but embedded in the red are outlines of the front brake caliper and pads, the turbos and the rear caliper and pads Max printing out a sample of the embedded image file - if you look at the hi-res version, you make see them http://www.bimmerfest.com/photos/sho.../size/big/cat/

Very cool. Again, can't wait to see the real thing.
Do you know if there will be BMWCCA races at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI this season? If so, will you be there? BTW, why does poor Teo @ MI have to do his work on an old 17" CRT display? Surely MI can afford an upgrade for him...

Check the BMW CR schedule, but if we go to any races back there, it will be the O'fest races at Watkins Glen. I don't see any for Gingerman: http://www.bmwccaclubracing.com/events/events.aspx
