Yes, I believe so. They come mounted and balanced by BMW AG.

My spare is just a Michelin Pilot PA3 mounted to a Sport edition 18"--can go front or rear and just my winter set-up; $109 (Tire Rack) for the wheel, $232 for the tire (235-40) and they are quite decent on a dry road.

Alright, I put together a spare tire kit on tire rack (see attachment). I was looking at getting a BMW style 270 wheel, but it's a fair amount of money. I'm thinking of going with the below setup and I was curious to get feedback. Specifically, does anyone have knowledge of this sort of wheel. I assume it would fit.
So what do people think? Leif W |

Since I would be driving as described above, I'd save a few bucks and get a cheaper tire. Why buy a PSS for a spare? |

Dack: Does the Jack set you use for sure "fit" the 1M? Seems to be in short supply and the only place I found it (71106773536) could "not be sure it fits" my car...

The Jack kit, will work on any BMW. The space saver wheel or full size wheel(the e46 steel wheel)that I have, will only will fit a 135i. Rick, remember when Florian(Blue car above) had a flat tire... I gave him my full size e46 spare steely to complete our tour and get back home. But when Rudi's 1M had a flat... he used one of your spare tires - bc the 1M has different offset wheels than a 135i has. Dackel

BMW also offered a jack kit for the X5 and 5 series as well. I would ask a dealer to look up one of those jack kits. Or go to a junkyard(or look on ebay!) and find a jack from any BMW built in the last ~25 years. Even my e39 jack works to lift up my 135i.

Can confirm, that the 17" spare doesnt fit on the front of the car. I tried with a 10mm spacer but i think the bolt itself may be an issue itself, because the wheel couldnt spin with the "extended bolts" , i suspect it may work with a 15 or 20mm spacer...
