Mine was built the day you ordered - it's the "independence day special model". It will hopefully be to the dealer the week of 8/12 |

I must be in this batch too with IEDEI and Fume! Estimated completion date is 8/13. Here's my build info:

Glad y'all are getting your parties started finally!
You should see how close the last few numbers of your vin are. Sadly, I tried to compare with Kouper since our cars started production within a few hours, but since mine's a coupe and his is a convertible, it's a different numbering scheme. =( Would have been cool to have sequential vins. |

If you can't cryogenically freeze yourself for 3.5 weeks, do you have the option if you want to either re-route it to your local dealer or just go pick it up there and skip the whole experience, if you want to do that?
Maybe you could at least visit it or have someone there take pictures for you so you can see it. Must be frustrating. Pray that it gets stuck in a logjam at the port and doesn't get released for awhile to make you feel better. Took mine 2 weeks to make it through port if that's any consolation. I'm very interested to see what yours looks like with mineral on oyster as I haven't seen pictures of that combo before and think it will look really good, especially with the two-tone doors, as the oyster is still a really really light gray so still in the same family and more interesting visually than the plain black. |

I'm going to wait for PCD. I'm sure all of you are tired by now of hearing me whine about it, but I know you understand! We test drove a Mineral Grey 2013 135i with Oyster. For my car I wanted to lighten up the cabin a bit, the Oyster seating surfaces and accents seemed to offer a nice contrast to the black carpet and other black interior features. I thought the overall package had a sophisticated, understated look. Remember the old saying about men wanting a chef in the kitchen, a lady in the living room, and uh... uh... can't remember the bedroom part... this car will certainly fit that description.

Woohoo! When do they estimate it'll get to you? You east coasters are lucky as you have a much shorter trip on the boat, though our cars had a lot of fun on our trip in case you never saw the photos of what they were up to.
I'd estimate roughly 9 days to get from factory and on a boat to get the hell out of Germany and on its way to you. |

the original estimate from the dealer had been early to mid september...but they had said things may change due to the summer break at the factory. |

Once it gets to the port and is awaiting a boat you can usually reasonably guess what boat it may get on by checking the schedules. THe most frustrating part though is there's seemingly a 3-4 day lag from getting on a boat and the status then changing to "en route." So, you'll think you missed the boat and be upset, then a few days later you'll realize you ARE on a boat. Your sales person is the best source though as they have real time info and once you're pretty sure you're on a boat (or suspected boat) ask them and they will then show it's on a boat and ETA to port. |

Very nice! Mine just finished production today as well! I'm in Seattle so it'll probably take a while longer for me to get mine.
Edit: For some reason, the site still doesn't have my actual car configuration other than the colour but I was able to look up the car with the VIN and it shows all the options I selected. Guess the site just has some bugs to work out still. |

Site hasn't updated for me but the 800-number says that my vehicle is being assembled with an estimated completion date of today

Mine's sitting at the port in Bremerhaven now. We'll have to see what ship(s) these all get loaded on. Nice to have some shipping buddies aka IF MY SHIP GOES DOWN I'M TAKING EVERYONE WITH ME! lol

I'm in the SF bay, so I'll feel your pain man. Here's hoping us west coasters don't have TOO much extra time to wait
