For those of you who absolutely must have one of these, I have bought items from BMW Kirsch in Germany. They do Paypal, and have sales on occasion. The 1M is not available there yet, but you can be notified when it is. Kirsch is a great place to pick up items that won't be available in the US, like motorbike helmets, Yachsport accessories, and EU only parts for the cars. Accessories available in the US tend to be cheaper at http://getbmwparts.com, for me especially since they will do local pickup/export to Virginia, so no shipping or tax.

I posted these 1M model pics last week in another thread. I might as well post them here too. lol Btw... this model is not made out of metal, its made out of plastic. Still it is a nice model to have in one's collection.

Noop! Just about all models these days are made out of plastic. I purchased an old German truck (LKW) with two small Iseta's - I was really surprised to see it was made out of metal! It was cheap too at 16 euros from my BMW dealer. Here is that other thread I posted my 1M model pics in... Toy models of our cars... 1:43, 1:87 and 1:18... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507986 |

Just for your information. There are some on the eBay.de site.
I have no relation with them. For example... http://cgi.ebay.at/NEUHEIT-BMW-1er-M...ht_2083wt_1140 |

+1. Mine's sitting in my office. It's a nice model, decent detail. My real one HAS been made but it's somewhere southeast of the Bay of Fundy at the moment.

I have two of these coming to the States shortly. I will keep one for myself and would be willing to sell the other one for $85 plus the shipping. (it was 59 euros). Brand new in the box, pm if interested. Otherwise, I was going to out it on EBay and buy a few more for EBay as well.

ebay is still your best bet for finding a 1M model. I have only seen 1:43 scale size. I did see this 1M for sale last night on a good model website a friend of mine uses... 89 euros though! ouch! BMW AG sells this very same model for 59 euros.

Seen at Leipzig Werk - August 30th. The factory got 100 model 1M's to sell to factory employees. Three weeks later they had 60 left. Not sure IF they still are selling them or not. I know even at the Welt these models are in short supply.
