ot, but scientific motor body works can take a really long time to fix things.. maybe we don't know the full story due to insurance company hassles etc but my neighbour was having his audi TT fixed there and I knew he had a yaris loan car complete with SMBW signage for ~3months..

I performed the 200,000kms service today and it was due for its Inspection 2 service and Annual check items. This car was one of the big mods we performed back in 08 and i am pleased that it has held up well over that time. The Alcantara steering wheel is well past it's prime, the BMW Performance seats are still stiff but the material has worn, the black drip rail moulds have faded badly, it's has a few windscreens but the front has been protected really well with the 3M tape that was applied when the car was new. I drove the car home tonight to see how it feels with a bit more seat time and just enjoy it. The BMW Performance suspension is still a great setup for everyday use on the road, nice ride height and road feel, the Quaife LSD is still nice and quiet after all those kms and track days, clutch has seen some better days and over all i am impressed a 1 series doesn't rattle and bang more than it does. Very enjoyable to drive and still has very strong power delivery from Procede, DP's, IC packages we did.

Very happy to hear these cars hold up well past 200km

I have been contemplating the alcantara interior but this has put me off because I use my car every day.
