You need an intake from X3 3.0si, X5 3.0si, Z4 3.0si, E90 330i, E60 330i, or an N51 128i, 328i (I think)...

It's definitely got the adjustment valves and the right part number. My buddy ordered it for me since we both have the N52 and are doing the same swap. It came from a 328i sulev.

Yeah, the SULEV vehicles came with the low-compression N51 engine, which had the 3-Stage DISA Manifold. Good luck on the swap, let us know which tune you went with, and how you like it!

What I don’t understand is that I own an e82 125i 2008 (EU-spec) and when I take a look under the hood it seems that I have the DISA connector on the IM.. Is this possible?
I also have the performance intake & exhaust + a custom dyno map. (292hp at 6278rpm @ 32 degrees Celsius ambient temperature) When I drive and check via the OBD meter i have approx 360nm engine torque at 6881rpm. It also shows clutch torque approx 320nm at 6881rpm. (320nm x 0.738) x 6881rpm / 5252 = 309HP at 8 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Ps. I always use BP Ultimate 98. Last edited by E82Performance; 11-10-2019 at 04:26 PM.. |

DME is reporting calculated torque. Probably before estimated losses for friction and such. You can also mess with these values by changing the torque look up maps. You"ll need a three stage manifold, headers and a really good tune to squeak 290 HP at the crank. |

When they custom tuned my car on the dyno it had 213hp before and 292hp after both at 32 degrees Celsius.
So now with the ambient temperature being around 8 degrees celsius- I didn’t think it was strange to calculate to a 309HP. My fastest recorded 0-100kmh is 5,9sec in 92meters (manual transmission). I have the performance wheel- with display, so it measures it for me. Last edited by E82Performance; 11-10-2019 at 05:02 PM.. |

I had a self tuned N52 automatic with no headers or other mods and ran low 5 second 0-60 times. Never ran it on a dyno but pretty sure it would only pull 255 HP + 15 HP for the tune. 270 At the crank. Post your Dyno sheet and mod list. |

It looks like that dyno is in PS (metric horsepower), so it's 209hp and 288hp for the two runs, respectively, for us yanks.
I'm extremely suspicious of those numbers, though. BPC made "just" 280whp with open velocity stacks, an 8200rpm red line, and headers. Heck, full-blown built race motors with fixed VANOS, deleted Valvetronic, ITB's, ported heads, etc., make 300whp.

But I could be wrong! Even if it's crank....288 is something I would settle for as I would think I am close to 270+ now that I'm FBO. Still less than 250 at the wheel though.

I would remind everyone of a thread started a long time ago. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...no+compilation I love to see a modification list as there is no way that a simple three stage manifold and tune will yield this much gain. Best numbers I've seen without headers is about 225-230HP RWHP. Also note the time stamps on the dyno report. Same date but and 1 hour and 40 minutes apart. What mods can you install in two hours? Notice the torque reported at 2,000 RPM's. It's near full torque, this early on a NA motor. Sorry, don't buy it. |

Performance air intake + K&N Performance exhaust Custom dyno tune by BRPerformance During that day of the tune and the time stamp your referring to- no other modifications have been carried out. All I can say is- this car feels way faster then before the tune + the other day I was able to slowely close up to a 996 4S going up the highwayz |

chris_flies races these cars...and rjahl has probably tuned more of these cars than he cares to remember, and I think races as well. Even with all the mods in my signature, I figure I'm lucky if I'm at 280 crank HP and the car feels infinitely faster than it did when I first got it. You mentioned a 5.9 second 0 -100kmh...but the car you mentioned slowly closing in on above is tested as doing it in 5.1 seconds...and has barely broken the 12 second 1/4 mile barrier. All that matter is that you are happy with the outcome of it.

Regarding the 0-100 in 5.9sec- the thing is, I have to launch with idle RPM otherwise I just have mayor wheel spin. Current dunlop tyres are not the best. The 996 4S was not from stand still- we came from a 'cloverleaf' (I hope this is the correct translation) and went up the highway.. Nevertheless- I am happy, thanks. |

at least all of you guys have MTs !
I suffer from AT loss even being FBO.. I can only imagine how my car would feel without being restrained

I've changed both my Vanos Solenoids + flushed the engine with Liquid Moly Pro Line Engine Flush and changed the oil with Shell Helix Ultra 5W40...
What a difference, so much smoother + much better pick up in low RPM's. That 'hick-up" I had in my dyno-graph around 1500RPM is gone also the acceleration throughout the entire RPM range is much smoother and lineair. |

sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm interested into getting a 3 stage intake manifold. I have 2013 128i, I'm pretty sure I don't have the 3 stage intake, with that being said, what year and model should I be looking for to fit 3 stage intake manifold? also getting AA headers soon, upon reading a lot today lol, I would need a tune to make this all work correct?
thank you for any input. I'm new to the bmw world and you have to forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this. |
