Haven't checked...should be here by early next week I am assuming? Why? You interested in one?
Just saw Andrew's post. Doesn't he need permission from the owner of the car if he is going to set up a web page with all the mod details? First I heard of it. Lol. |

Actually I am interested in purchasing and in your install.
What was the landed $ without installation.? Did you go for the ceramic coated DP's? Not sure with legalities regarding your car being posted by a third party..:iono: But if it purely for advertising their products on your car it should be fine with your permission of course. |

OMG! This DP is awesome! I have just driven home from Andrew's. It is amazing how much more torque has been liberated not to mention high end power! I used to complain that first gear feels a bit lethargic...not anymore! Ok I won't steal Andrew's thunder as I promised him that I will let him post this one on his own thread. All I can say is that Andrew spent a whole week (literally!) to sort this out for me as the DP wasn't designed with RHD in mind, so thank you Andrew. Seeing that I am the test mule, the rest of you will need to say Thank you to me!

I am very happy to announce that we have finished the installation and dyno runs of the 135i E82 RHD Riss Racing Catless downpipes with O2 simulators on an Australian car.
For those of you who don't know what Riss Racing downpipes are have a look at http://www.rissracing.com/ and have a look at the products available for the 135i. We had issues with clearance of the O2 sensors and the steering rack on the 135i, that doesn't seem to be a problem with the 335's in RHD. This issue is sorted now and in the future you guys should not have any troubles with clearance on your cars to the rack, it is however a tight squeeze between the two pipes and as the pipes pass the crossmember. Ok so you want to hear how they went? The downpipes have a ceramic coating on them that is quite durable and looks a treat in person. After install they look really quality and should stand the test of time well. Upon start up the car sounds more deeper, a blip on the throttle and you can hear the difference in the engine, like a turbo spool noise, but let it idle and the throatier sound gives the car a presence about it. Under acceleration it sounds very meaningful as you will see soon. A Pre dyno of the car in stock configuration made 184.6 Rear Wheel Kilowatts (247 WHP) on a dyno dynamics dyno. After the install, which took a while to sort the issues, we had to drive the car for 80 Kms to let the ECU adapt some, but there was really no doubt about the difference in power this thing would make. After dyno on the same dyno a week later the car made 200.6 Rear Wheel kilowatts (269 WHP) Note-All Dyno's are different so don't read into the figures too much, just the difference we are looking at, Remember too this car only as 1,000kms on it so soon the engine will run harder too. So the downpipes made 20 WHP difference and should run better when the car has done more kilometeres apparantly it gets better as the ECU adapts more as well. The main point i find is that the turbos come on early as well so the pulling power is evident from take off, right through the rev range. I will be looking forward to more time with the car again in the near future as we are well advanced on the next tuning part for this car. I have started a new page on my website for this car and am currently compressing photos for uploading, keep an eye on Here as i will be uploading for the next hour or so. I'll put some up here too! I hope you all like. |

Thanks Andrew.
Looks like NO sleep tonight..but it will be well worth it. So what you are saying if we purchased the catless DP's that the install will be hassle free.. Is R Racing modifying the pipes to suit the Oz RHD? |

Hastle free.........
At least 5 band-aids worth. It's actually not so easy to install, but i have had some practice, i had them in an out 10 times so i'm getting better at it, the rack pinion is what makes it hard, getting to the back turbo to DP clamp. |

Andrew and Wayne, my hats off to you guys.
Well done for pushing the envelope with what can be done in Australia and the 135s.
