here in Canada 150+ you'll get copped for stunt driving, car impound and butt fcuked by insurance, I also believe some HIGHER speeds have seen suspended prison sentances
and if you really feel the need for that kind of speed sir can I suggest a race track a PUBLIC highway, is just that, you are sharing the road with other people, no matter how good you drive, you cannot account for blow out, sudden failure, or other driver error. That kind of speed is HIGHLY irresponsible and gives all of us a bad name. Albeit on the autobahns have a "no speed limit" you can still get done for dangerous driving If you and I mean "collective you" wanna drive like morons that's fine and if you wanna get a lift home in a body bag that's fine to, just don't kill me or mine in the process oops sorry I forgot Darwin's Law never mind, forget my post... carry on.... evolution will win out here |

Yes, the windows can be adjusted but what works best is to replace the rubber gaskets around the B-pillar. 2nd best is to use a tube slid up inside the gasket to firm up the gasket - making a tighter, better (window)seal.

I just wanted to say that this IS NOT the problem seal in my car.
In mine, the seal that is on the shadowline trim has collapsed near the back of the window. This lets the window move slightly. I don't know exactly but from the RealOEM pictures I think I'm talking about #51767164949 and #51767164950. Which they call a "Roof Frame Gasket". Unless it's attached to the trim and sold with it. Anyway, if you're in a warm climate then the same tubing inside the seal can work here. 3/16" is the size tubing you're looking for. You will not be able to use Dack's trick in conjunction with mine. It will pinch the window and it will not close all the way. Also you have to make sure the window goes all the way up. This will put more pressure on it and it can hang up. Being in a warm climate reduces this because the tube is more pliable. You'll want to lubricate the tube heavily. It's about a 3' push to reach the end of the gasket and that is quite a bit of friction. |

So I have an air leak at approx 70-72MPH on driver side. Replaced a full door rubber seal all th way around. That did not fix it.
Tried the tube fix - the vertical side (Home Depot has it) - actually made it worse. As I was driving, I cracked the window just slightly and the noise did not go away - so even with the window not sealed it still was wistling. My friend who is bmw tech looked at all of the tolerances and said window is adjusted correctly both hight and tilt. |

3M also makes a white powder spray... you spray it on the edge of the window... then close the door... and see where the window isn't making full contact with the door seal. I know Mattos (an autobody supply shop) sells this 3M spray. You might also want to reset the door window learned limits... with the window down... press and hold the DOWN window switch for five secs. Then roll the window all the way up(with the door closed!) and then press and hold the UP window switch the same. This resets the learned stopping points for the window regulator. Dackel

i see you can only take it to the corner.
i did the problem door - passenger side/left door as RHD. today did drivers door. havent gotten above 120 though to actually test. though wind noise was only at 140 up. i did find that the car did sound more insulated from road noise. so even if you dont have the wind noise coming in, you should do this anyway. And adjust the door grab.

I tried this trick but it didn't stop the wind noise! Darn it. I tried resetting the sunroof but it doesn't do anything. I press the button to tilt it and then my finger goes numb after more than a minute and nothing happens.
Frustrating stuff. |

has anyone managed to do from the front to the top corner?
i did the vertical sides, and its did cure the wind noise. But now i have noticed that when i was the car, there is a bit of water getting in from the curved section of the glass from the top. maybe a thinner hose can be slid into that rubber?
