So, by now you should all know that MHD will have unlock available "any day now."

The Dinan 50% sale is on right now and is extremely tempting but my end goal is PS1 and FBO so I think MHD and being able to scale to my add-ons makes MHD the winner.

Best of all, I am within a very reasonable driving distance to Justin.

$669 for Dinan Stage 2? I would run, not walk, to the nearest Dinan dealer and get it now.

OK, I'm a sucker for a great deal. The 50% off sale on Dinan Stage 2 was just too good to pass up. I opened the thread by asking about options for our N55, especially the one with locked DME. My hope was to get the DME unlocked so that I could then change tunes as I changed hardware on the car.

I admit I got a little itchy and pulled the trigger on a flash that does not unlock the DME but I happen to have an independent DINAN dealer just 10 minutes from my house and they'll be able to hookup the car and flash while I wait. That was one of my main concerns since this is my daily driver and I don't want any down time from sending out the DME. Did I mention the 50% off?

For now, I'll have a good level of power and torque to play with while I address all of the drivetrain and suspension upgrades. Then I'll move on to the front end 1M conversion and I probably won't need any additional power until the 1M rear end with big meaty tires gets done.

That's the plan. Well, at least for right now.

ETA was this week but there were delays at customs. Now, we're looking at next week.

I think JB4 and MHD will get along very nicely, especially with BMS MHD BEF.

As stated above, FBO, PS1, MHD by BMS with JB4 is my end goal but for now, I'll run Dinan S2 and focus on mechanicals so I may pull the JB4 during this period or see how it runs on BEF only.

Basically in the same boat. I'm looking to go FBO with a PS2 (or similar), but I want to wait until I can have a proper BEF in order to save my clutch packs...

Gives me time to save up for a turbo/diff, at least.

I don't know why Justin hasn't mentioned this but the Twisted Tuning website says they're able to unlock now:

That website specifically mentions F series, but no mention of E series.

Click on the link and read again. It clearly states E and F series unlock at the top of the page. The body of the text doesn't mention E cars because it hasn't been updated. If you go to the Facebook page you'll also see that they are looking for E cars.

Well, it's now 7 months later and MHD is well into beta testing with (reportedly) great results for our locked DMEs.

Once this is available I plan on doing MHD for BEF and keeping the JB4 in order to be able to choose boost level. My car is a DD that I track so the flexibility is a good thing. Once I turn it into a dedicated track car, I'll go with custom MHD maps.

Cool 2013 135is Flashing

I just sent my DME to Wedge Performance/Ken to unlock. Once I get it back, I will flash wth MHD tune. On another thread, Tomcat has already had success with his N55 and MHD tune

If you want a challenge and tune your freakkn locked N55 DME.......U put in the effort and honestly, if you have another person and be patient.....It will take you 1.5 hrs.....But watch the video first just to see the lay out of everything underneath....

Very doable my friend.

Pinoy, $100 is Wedge pricing, send a return label to your address....My DME was delivered today 11:15AM PDT.....

I also ordered D-Can cable and OTG cables from bimmergeek.com....$53

FINALLY
So an update on my first impression with MHD stage 2 as recommended from Martial/MHD

As first, after connecting to the N55 E Series APP on my Android device.....I had an error saying DME is not supported.....DAMN...all the hoopla now an error? After talking to Wedge/Ken, he said probably wrong App or not the beta version...I emailed Martial and since he is remote and in Germany....took about 6 hrs but Martial added me to the correct beta group and the App finally worked.

The Tune was so easy to install and took less than 30 minutes.
Current Mods: Charge Pipe, BMS CAI, Muffler Delete-Running straight Pipe (Sounds awesome)

First drive: Power can be felt all thru the lower end to upper RPM range. It pulls very smooth however I was expecting the ooopmhhhhh like my C6 Z06 V8 Vette when I stomp on it (lol).....

I definitely like it better than stock w PPK but want more of a Thrust. I emailed Wedge n MHD. They recommend pulling logs so they can see the car's performance. I was told that is another purchase is needed which I don't mind so I will provide an update after they review my car's activities with Stage 2.

I am planning to add BMS Catless Dp this week......FMIC is on order.......

I like driving the 135is more than my E92 M3 now so it may be for sale soon
