Wow, that is pretty cheap for rotors, isn't it? And it seems like it was pretty easy to install. Why do I pay my local shop $250 in labor every time I need my front pads and rotors replaced?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I have not painted the calipers. They are the stock OEM Gray paint.

I check every week...Nothing yet. If BMW doesn't release the rears, I will be really irritated.

Well that's why I haven't gotten the fronts--I would just like them to match, you know?

How does it look, with the fronts being upgraded and the rears stock? Pretty noticeable?

From that link above, the fronts are now back down to $110 each.

I noticed that too--but without knowing how bad the front upgrade with the back stock looks--no way am I jumping on these yet.....

How many miles did you have on your stock pads when you changed the rotors? I am considering this swap, but have 3,000 miles on my car already. I don't want to have to install new pads too.

The car looks fine with just the fronts, it doesn't look mismatched at all. The BMW on the caliper draws your eye.

Even on my leased car, I'd almost consider this since its so cheap. The stock rotors rust real bad every wash. (but clean up in 50 ft of driving). But the car has amazing brakes stock. Who's to say you are weaking the brakes given the surface area. Is it just for looks then?

Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors will absorb and dissipate heat much more efficiently than the stock set up currently on the 135 therefore as a result you will have lower temps which will increase the life of both your rotors and brake pads. Also, you will have better braking in wet weather as there are additional “escape paths” for the water. Even though I do not have the crossed drilled rotors on my 135 yet, I installed them on my old GTI and they were an OEM part on my 2001 Porsche 996 which I sold off last year. In my experience, the biggest advantage I see is that the upgraded rotors will reduce fade during hard braking as out-gassing will occur from the brake pads and can produce a film that can potentially push or buffer the brake pad away from the rotor. Having Cross drilled rotors addresses this and helps the gases escape resulting in a significant reduction in brake fade. Good show! The rotors look great!
