Saw a 2013 M3 with a "peel and stick" lic plate. Some kind of process where they take a picture of your plate and transfer it to a reflective sticky backed 3M product. It looked pretty slick. Pretty much a license plate decal. No holes to drill!

Unfortunately, that's still illegal in most states.

Realize I am necroing this thread. Figured it might help someone. Got the idea from a post in the 335i section. Figured I'd post my OCD version. So, I probably wasted entirely too much time on this but...I did this to my 135i but painted all the components black beforehand with some extra gloss black paint I had in my garage. I also bought and used nylon screws for the front and used vacuum line rubber tips for the top ones to prevent marring the actual bumper.
