this is the info i got from them a few weeks ago; the only problem with this setup is obvious, but also the rear diffuser by 3D japan is not ready yet:
Thank you very much for your inquiry. I have listed all the information you have requested below. As far as HP gains, there is no data for the US market as of yet. Our E92 335i made a 12hp gain, so this can serve as a reference point for you. Here is the information that you have requested: Arqray E82 335i (1 Series) Stainless exhaust system: Part # - 8031AU16 MSRP - $1600.00 ETA - 4-6 weeks production time if units are not already in stock on Japan side |

From the back, it looks good but for performance, I think I'll just stick with the stock exhaust and Riss catted DPs...

That is such a hack of the exhaust. I wouldn't be surprised if you lost HP with that.

I value personal opinion but could you provide what specific areas you consider "a hack", please? I'm in no way affiliated with this company or any resellers, just curious as I thought it was a pretty nice design sans the skinny pipe for the right side.

Asthetically its amazing, always thought the 1er looked great with quads. But I'm still also concerned about performance, not about the gains, but if it might bring it down slightly.

Although I can always just cap off the new pipe so nothing actually goes through it, I'll just be getting clean tips on the right side and dirty on the left.

It looks nice for sure.. it sounds like crap.
The E92 version did sound better but even that one sounded sorta cheap. I listened to a lot of clips of arqray exhausts after this one and they all seem to have a very pronounced rasp for them that i just cant enjoy.. ear grating if you ask me.. oh well.. it's personal taste. |

I like the looks, but I'm doubting this offers any performance gain over a regular cat-back, and is likely a little heavier. I'm thinking that's going to be the case with most quad or dual exit systems though, and I'm not going to knock anyone who buys it for the looks alone.

Damn, personally I think the e92 version sounds hella good. The 1er version is pretty bad though.
