does current speed match the speedo? I have found on all of my bmw's, the odometer to be correct, but the speedometer to be off, always reads high

I was not sure if this was programmed into the speedometer or if the whole cluster reads high, and my timing/math was wrong on the odometer tests I've done

its in kmh no mph thats why

the menu looks pretty useless unless you want to waste a full 60secs before you start your car to see data in it.

Here's the one I'm personally interested in:
13.00 AUDIO Sound test Press button to play BLINKER, ACC Gong, CCG and DG sounds

Anything we can do for NA cars to turn off all the gongs and clicks?

Interesting. I wonder if 01.07 KODIERDATEN could be the version of code the car is currently flashed with. There must be some way for the dealer to find that out if they're going to give your car a reflash...

now if we could PGM a sound bite of the transformers sound effect to play for 10 seconds when you start the car as the BMW logo appears and it "forms" like the start of the 2nd movie.

I'll play with it some more, but is there a different method for N55 cars with iDrive?
I got the 1.yy menus from .00 to .08, and though it took a few tries, I managed to get xx from 2 to 14. But none of them showed anything - just blank display - with the engine on, or engine off but car in "On." And if I left it there for just a brief moment it would revert back to the standard display.
I'd love to find a way to display my coolant temps.

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. Driving e82, e72, e85, R53 Gone but not forgotten.. 1974 2002, many various 3s.
