focus on rotating & suspended mass first, it'll make a big difference in performance both power and suspension wise

10%? hmmmmm let's see! first remove the windshield and than both doors and maybe one seat. sounds foolish? so is your question! you want a lighter car, buy a honda civic.

CF driveshaft will run at least $2,000. Eventually that'll go on the car, but I can do a lot with $2,000 right now. If you got money to burn CF widebody .Yeah so back to the thread, 10% weight savings is very difficult to do on a street car. Race car no problem. We've dropped about 150 lbs off our car and I've taken quite a bit of stuff out already. 10% would be over 300 lbs. Quote:

Just a different way to increase power/weight ratio. Wouldn't reduced weight improve dynamics as it would have less weight transfer?
I have a friend who does the drive shafts for V8 supercars, so that would be the easy part. but I would be looking at reducing the unsprung mass first.I just want to see if it can be done but just changing the mechanical side of things. Now that most people had a go at me I might as well give it a try to proof a point . I just need to wait for the car to arrive.
