It's not defacing! It's like going from black (err.. blue) and white to technicolor!

Was that, "No, don't do it," or "No, don't wait for the actual CF roundels?"

Why not use them? Forget the hogwash about reduced values. Are you going to have a garage queen for showroom stock or something? I don't know about CF, but the overlays I have seen can be removed and residue should not be a problem. Trim pieces are available if something gets messed up. I had mine covered in the center with window tint film to give a subdued look to the stock part. I received plenty of compliments at Bimmerfest and they can be easily returned to stock. Make your car look the way you think it should and don't worry about it.

It's a sticker and it's dirt cheap. If you don't like it, you can always take it off.
I've seen quite a few of these installed and you honestly can't tell they are stickers unless you examine them up close and personal. Also, if you go with one of the carbon overlays, make sure it's "dynamic" carbon. |

Hey Mega I say yay. It's your car and not everyone will agree with everything that you do. Btw, did you get your radio (I think) issue fixed?

Radio issue has not been fixed, but apparently, I'm not the only one experiencing it, and BMW is aware of the problem and working on a fix.

I got the fancy stickers...now my BMW roundels are black and white. I like 'em. The front roundel, the rear roundel, all the wheels, and even the steering wheel. Not bad for $25 ($5 for shipping, not $10).
For my next trick, I ordered gloss black vinyl for my non-sport window trim. I also ordered Shadow (glossy) Black 135i for the rear of my car. Then I'll get the Shadowline grills from BMW, followed by dark tint around the car's windows. Finally, after a few weeks of talking with friends, I'll get my wheels powder coated black, and the calipers powder coated black while retaining the white BMW lettering. I talked with friends to get names/numbers of reputable shops, even saw some of their friends cars as testimonials. Other than blacking out parts of my car I want blacked out, I'll go with the tii sideskirts. Due to my life not revolving around modifying my car, all this will take probably until early next year. Then I'll get some light performance stuff done. The Suspension Kit, the Performance Exhaust, and if it's out by then, the BMW Performance Tune. I'll probably be pretty much done by then, though I'm considering the front splitters. As a toss-up, yay or nay on getting a black vinyl for the roof?
