I would be careful comparing 335 and 135 rides due to different suspension setup n wheelbase... the overall rolling diameter on the E9Xs are also bigger than the 1ers so their 19s have a bigger tyre profile 2... VMR offsets (on 18"s): http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=35

Has anyone seen pics of a 1 with 19's with stock suspension? I'm interested in seeing how it looks, some cars look funny with bigger wheels without lowering them...

Spoke to Eurodivision, and they only have 19" at this stage, but will possibly get 18"s "soon".

doh... bummer u guys weren't in on Eurodiv's last VMR group buy...
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...=vmr+group+buy how much real interest is there? I'm sure Eurodiv will do another one if there was solid interest... seems like u got at least 4... last GB was 10... maybe combined with E46fanatics u'll get to 10... 1. Cozza. Victoria. 18" in gunmetal finish. 2. BBK. Queensland. 18 or 19" (not sure) Hyperblack/Gunmetal 3. bmw135fan. I'm interested in 19". Most likely gunmetal 4. Aus135i, NSW, 18" Matte black finish 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.

I believe EAS's price is US$850 for a set of 19 plus shipping cost. I am still trying to work out if 19in VMR wheels can be fitted without rolling the guard, if the car is not lowered. It seems like if I go with 245/30/19 rear tyres it might be OK |

Hi all, haven't gotten around to responding until now. No, I'm not asking anyone to commit, just trying to gauge interest so we might get some idea of what a group buy might look like, and see how much the shipping will end up costing between interested parties.
There's still no confirmation from AluFelgen on their wheels shipping anywhere, and there's a local distributor in Melbourne who can arrange VMR's wheels. I'm just waiting on someone with some knowledge to answer my previous question about offsets for 19" wheels. I don't know what they should be, and I don't know yet whether EuroDivision will be able to supply 18" versions. Now, to get back on track, can we get some indication of who is interested in either of these wheels, with a simple register of what size you want and what state you're in? Costs including shipping will only be able to be determined once we can demonstrate how many sets we require shipped either locally, or from the States.

I am interested in some wheels with 1 series fitment, but the current designs to date do not tickle my fancy. They all seem to base on the CSL design, not a really a bad thing, its just everybody and their dogs have them on their cars.
I will wait for another alternative design. |

Hello
We introduced a 19" CSL for the E90/E92 community a few months ago and it is today the best CSL replica you could buy. We have nothing but positive feedback about the overall quality of the product, design and our customer service. Our manufacturing process, coating process and engineering is far superior than anything currently offered in the market. We have been working on a 18" CSL with exclusive 1-series offsets for a few months and will have full production in just a few weeks. We have found that the most appropiate size for the 1-series is a 18" with 8.0" front and 9.0" rear. The 8.0" in the front will allow you to upgrade to a 225/40/18 tire to provide more grip and yet still have plenty of cover for your wheels. At 8.0" in the front you have only a few mm of clearance so anything wider than that might cause clearance issues. The 9.0" in the rear will allow you to upgrade to a 255/35/18 tire with added rubber, wider track and perfectly flush with the fenders. We have found this setup to be optimal for the 1er and is what we recommend. A 8.5" and 9.5" might require stretch tires. Keep in mind, we are the only manufacturer of CSL wheels that has offsets exclusively made for the 1-series. Other manufacturers have offsets that will most likely require modifications to your bodywork in order to fit. For the Aussie members we really don't need a group buy. It could be 1 member or 20 we`ll still take care of you. We have, in fact, a few Aussie members already purchasing the wheels which works on your favor. Just add your name to the list and we can send all the wheels together to save on freight. Here is a few shots of the first prototype wheels mounted on a 135 with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11: Please click HERE for entire photo set And the best part, the rear concavity: |
