Hmmmm, if you're really this clueless, should you be doing anything on your BMW? Not to be rude, because we all have to start sometime, but which is neg or pos is so basic it may be hazardous to do anything alone.

Hoping for a quick answer as I 'm planning to swap my 135i seats today with E92 M3 seats.

To the disconnect the battery is removing the negative lead enough or do I need to disconnect the positive terminal too?

Yes just pull the negative stuff it down the side so it can't slip back up and make sure you keep the trunk open so you don't have a bad time.
