Hey! I've always given you credit for being the godfather of the AX analysis. It just so happens that I was the one that did put together that summary last year with the AM/PM breakout. So how's things in Belgium, anyway? Ever get that turbo to spool correctly?

Quote:
The turbo has not given me any trouble since they replaced a leaking oil feed or return pipe to the turbo. I am not sure why it would go into limp mode due to that, but everything seems ok now. Maybe it resulted in a slightly low oil pressure or something, but I never said any oil light come on or any code indicating oil pressure issues. Oh well, the engine has been working fine... though I did find out that the rear is out of alignment and can't be fixed without a new rear torsion beam. Basically both rear tires are toed in (or out, I can't remember) and the camber is off a bit. Anyway, I am going to see how long the rear tires last before investing in a costly fix... especially if I may only have the car for a year or two. This are going pretty well in general... the caveat being that our apartment was broken into this week; it happened during the day when we were at work. The building has quite a few apartment, and you need to have a key to get in the general building, so it pretty secure. Our apartment door is a pair of wood french doors that are about 10 feet tall, so they have some give in them... apparently enough give to allow someone to pry them open with breaking the lock or the door. Needless to say, we are going to have a chat with the landlord about a more secure door. No real damage to anything and they only took about $1000 of easy to carry stuff, so it could have been a lot worse. F-ing gets on your nerves though. We have insurance that should cover the loss, we have briefly talked to the insurance people, but haven't heard back about any details. On the bright side, we have been traveling quite a bit which is a lot of fun. We were in Brasov, Romania and Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria and Istanbul at the beginning of October. That was a fun trip and Istanbul is very nice and definitely recommended. Romania and Bulgaria are cool (and cheap) if you are a bit more adventurous. We also just go back from Prague, which is also a great city. Again, highly recommended. Then in a few weeks, we will be heading to Rome, which I am sure will be amazing. Other less extravagant trips we have done were the Rhine Valley (Germany), the Black Forest (with a quick stop by the Nurburgring, though we couldn't drive on it that day), and the Champagne region in France. Work is fine... All-in-all we are having a good time! Definitely missed the old 128i and the autocross season though
