FedEx just called, said my tyres would be delivered this afternoon! How amazing that these came from the middle of America to the Gold Coast in less than one week from when I ordered them! Placed the order last Tuesday, had to pay via bank transfer which I thought would delay things, but none-the-less they arrive 6 days later! And on Easter Monday, for that matter.

Ouch, just called Kmart tyre (only place open today) and they quoted me $211 to mount and balance. That is a little more than it should cost.
I will try Bob Janes tomorrow...

IIRC I got mine done at Bob Jane for $22.50 ea with nitrogen. The nitrogen cost somewhere between $5 and 7.50 extra, can't remember exactly.

Bob Jane put them on today, cost me $25 each and they looked at me like I was crazy when I said someone else only paid $16 each. Oh well.
They did put a balance weight in the way of the control arm initially, which cause a knocking noise on left turns. But that is fixed, and the wheels/tyres made a great improvement in road feel and comfort. I can't wait until the tyres break in to really test them out in the corners! Here are some pics: First, exactly how the tyres showed up from Fedex: now some on the car...I love it, but now it needs minor lowering...

Thanks Rai... so you have the same wheels too. I seem to be tapping the plastic inner guard when i hit a big dip or hit a "rise" when cornering if you k now what i mean. Driver side rear. not constant rubbing but more coming into contact when on big compression. it's a light touch now and again so i have put up with it for now. By installation mistake - do you mean alignment? I can't imagine there is much variation otherwise...

Wow instant response! LOL!
When it's just me in the car it's generally ok. Add the wife and two little kids in the back and it's more prominent. Maybe you're on significantly harder springs. The stock springs seem way soft on mine. 09 so presumably progressive rate etc - big compression with big bounce back. Not very comfy. time for fender roll i think . Also noticed the car seems lower on these wheels than on stock rims with same tyres - maybe slightly stretched tyres at the rear. I know because i now scrape exhaust on my driveway "rise" whereas none before on stock rims. |

Kinetic... sorry for the threadjack. your car looks great by the way. these wheels almost look better on a blue hatch than a black coupe. it's especially nice to see your car as i had that exact same car a few years back... Sydney blue if memory serves...

Trexx, are you sure you were supplied with the correct offset wheel? You might've received lower offset rear wheels (eg for e46 vehicles) hence the rubbing.. a possible reason I reckon..
