If we had buyers for say 6 sets it would be worthwhile to write a cnc program and once its written, machining times would be quite quick. If it was for say 2 sets machining would be done manually and well a lot slower. As we all know time = $. |

IMO instead of trying to reduce the parts' cost which is already $250 for the "tried" ones, we should look at reducing the install cost which is $1k!

I was quoted $1250 fitted by a local vendor. The breakdown was $250 for parts and $1000 for fitting. (Not sure if that was a mates' rate though!). If we can find a mechanic to fit them for $600, I'm in.

That was probably for the M3 'rubber' bushes yeah? If so I can get them much cheaper than $250, but cant help you with the install as its always going to be a big job taking the rear subframe out of the car and to rip those bushes out (I imagine at least 5 hrs labour)

It wouldn't really be worth the while for 1 or 2 sets, but if we could get 5+ buyers i think it would be worthwhile to pursue and start drafting up some drawings to get a quote. |

I ordered the non-M ones but luckily caught out my "mistake" before they shipped it and had it swapped over.

we (i mean that in the general 1er/3er non-m owner sense) put the OEM M3 bushings in our non-M's... so how is there possibly an M and non-M kit when the M bushes fit in non-M? I just sent TMS an e-mail clarifying i could possibly understand non-M bushings not fitting an M3/1M, not that i know exactly why... but when vice-versa fits fine, seems pointless to sell two different types for identical prices? That is a decent price if it includes delivery.

or is that normal for down there? Quote:
literally.. that's it. no elaboration I don't even know where to speculate on the difference in bushings, without having them both to look at haha. i mean... yeah even the subframe designs can't be THAT different, as they do bolt up, as the bushings do :/.. so confusing.. surely someone has had them side by side before? |
