I made it older.
Time for an oil change, coolant flush/system clean/fill, OFHG replacement, oil-water cooler retrofit, and some fresh MTL in the tranny, and some fuel injector cleaner on the next fill-up (juddery idle at cold start, again). The older, the funner!

Are those SIXTEENS? I bet that car rides so nicely! I'd do sixteens for the weight reduction, but my upgraded brakes won't fit...

I love them!
Those Euro LCI headlights are awesome, and the blacklines look great! What wheels are those, BTW?

I swapped out my paddle shifter adapters for the newer version Nelson Racing Wheels sent out last week.
Much more tight and crisper shifts. I drive in manual mode 90% of the time and now these just make it even better!

Installed Turner Motorsport BMW pedals (with one hitch; see my thread) and BMW short shift lever. The pedals have crazy grip now. No slipping around after getting in with wet shoes. The SSK shift length feels great. Only downside is shifting into 1st requires a good bit more force and more force when driving hard. For traffic it's actually great since I have to move my arm less.

Installed BMW Performance pedal kit. Happy with the result, but what a pita. Template was garbage, and the screws realistically about 1-2mm too short. But they're on. Quick test drive after and can't believe I waited so long to ditch the rubber slip ons.. *heh heh*
These grip really well, dry shoes, wet shoes, and, most importantly -> BAREFOOT IS COMFORTABLE. Much more solid than the stock covers and feedback through the clutch and brake is definitely improved, more similar to no pedal covers at all, but with better surface area. Only gripe is that the clutch is a tiny bit off... because my clutch pedal is warped! Time for a UCP I guess. Nearly 100k miles of stomping on it and banging gears put some wear and tear through that plastic arm. BMWP dead pedal is currently sitting on my workbench. Gotta figure out the best way to mount it, which I think will involve taking the lower dash off, pulling the carpet back, and removing whatever grommet thing is holding the stock ///M dead pedal on there. Another job for another day.

I spent the day being paranoid. See my thread with 0093C3 in the title.
I've ordered a seat occupancy emulator to clear the code, but I'm still paranoid about being hit, especially with my recent string of bad luck. Let me recap my bad luck over the last two weeks: OFHG is leaking, snapped a solid aluminum shift arm, got rear-ended, there's a strange clunk that has gotten more noticeable since the accident, and the passenger window slipped down in the middle of a rainy night exposing seat electronics to water. I still love my car as much as I ever have, and I don't see those feelings ever subsiding.

Beat the snot out of it.
We where on the ice playing again. I need so much more practice and patience. I'm way to greedy on the throttle and think pumping it controls drift. It doesn't. It just makes things uncontrollable because it loads and unloads the diff. Steady or increasing or decreasing throttle is the proper method. It's just hard to practice self control and actually do that. But once I get used to that and beat it into my head, it gets really fun. Should be video eventually and pic's. I don't take either so I'm at the mercy of others. Couple from last outing 2 weeks ago to tide the masses, |

I realized that the previously shared photo was one of a set that I had over-exposed by a stop. I liked the picture, so I adjusted the RAW file. Full disclosure: I don't normally "adjust" photos.
