M1 or not, this car will be much faster than the Original M1. I know for sure it is not going to be 135M.
Never was it in M History, that people talked about the name of the car. So very nice, a new step in the history of ///M. |

That's the name I was hoping for too when the rumors of a 1 series M started.

After reading through all the relevant threads, I've decided that I will rebadge my 1-Series M as follows, regardless of the final name put on it by BMW:
MI-6, denoting that it's the only inline 6 powered M car. Yes indeed Miss Moneypenny. But I'll make the "I" look almost indistinguishable from a "1"..... After which, I vill ruullleee ze vorrrllld.... |

I'm not feeling overly confident here. No M1, limited production - what if it's not much more than a 135is with an M badge on the tail and a $50k sticker price? We all know what this car could be - more fun and performance than an M3 - but if BMW dumbs it down and hypes it up I'll be very disappointed.

Based on the X5 and X6 M series, would imagine it most likely would be called a 135i M or the 135M as previously stated. No matter what it's called, this should be hot - and expensive, so interested to see how it all pans out price and performance wise, and cosmetically.

It would tie in with the next gen 1 series hatch replacement going on sale, which they may well be considering calling a 2-series now.... Certainley makes sense...... Doesn't however mean that's what will happen So, placing a bet on M135i could still be money well spent |
