These guys are enthusiasts and make nice stuff. Love the new intercooler, which I think I will be getting. But darnit that is a wee bit louder than I'd want it. I'm curious how much power keeping the cats will rob.
That might be a nice comparo. With and sans cats and dyno results for both.

There is some data floating around between catted vs non-catted. for pipes along i think it was a 7-12 hp loss, but i would contact AR design to get better or more accurate numbers. There are other effects on things such as tune etc that cats vs catless involve to.

No mufflers/resonators and no drone? Doubtful. I listened to the video, and cams tend to capture high pitched sounds more than low frequency sounds, so it is not possible to judge droning levels based on a recording. I do hear that the exhaust is relatively louder at around 2000 rpms as the car revs up....this is where drone occurs on this car.

We all are in 6th gear at 60mph. It's called low-end torque and no need for that waste of gas unless you are trying to run the car spiritedly/aggressively.

update:
Was unable to get more video last night, i actually picked up my car so they had already took the fab exhaust pieces off. I am getting the prototype version put on for final test fitting before production so will get video then. (probably 1-2 weeks?) Good news and the piping on the BOV kit worked out perfectly, need to get some tooling done on some pieces to build the flange for the BOV. Been discussing with HPF to offer a meth bung within the charge pipe for those running meth. They originally where not gonna offer that since their custom meth kit will be developed with the fuel rail/manifold kit (like the E46). If there is enough interest in this, speak up cause HPF reads these forums. Working on other goodies I will let Chris @ HPF let you know when he is ready to release information. No pricing information on exhaust or BOV. Look for Lutz Performance to be running GB/1st production run intro. For those of you who got in on the FMIC, it was a killer deal.

Meth bung would be cool but there are already other options for that.
I say they get more work and personal allocated towards the single turbo kit and the fuel rail/intake manifold to help finish it faster! |

they are already working on that currently. What other options do you have for your meth (personally asking, i just received my kit and looking for best options to meth bung placement)

the problem with more options, means more tooling cost, which inflates cost of end product. Since HPF cast things and uses tooling for BOV flanges it cost a ridiculous amount. I think they reviewed that but it was just not cost effective. What other BOV are you interested in?
1. TiAL q 2. HKS 3. ?

I want the HKS for sure, It will defiantly be a deal breaker for me if it wont have that, But I'm pretty sure that some of them can use the same flange.. I just don't remember what 2 used the same flange
