Well I meant from the point of it being chosen and them working on it... They should know how long it would take them to duplicate a lip regardless of which lip it is. Try to find out. I wouldn't want to wait 6 months.

However I think there are more Icarbon's out there because of the 3 situations below for lips people will possibly jump on if available: Vorsteiner - never really got into production so not much photos 3D - very expensive and not available in carbon fiber Icarbon - Was readily available at some point, huge marketing, huge forum presence, looks like a prototype of what Vorsteiner was going to make. But yes thank you for your efforts on the 2nd lip though I'd prefer a full bumper replacement lol.. just a wish Quote:

iCarbon as a company fitament and price might have been shit. But the simple truth is the design of it is way better. Lips should be simple....
I can't speak for others but i like to "enhance" the stock look of a car. I want my car to be modded, but tastefully.... iCarbon or Hamann lip could easily be stock pieces. The rest of these lips and other lips not mentioned try to change way too much in my opinion and simply look bad and a lot of times rice. IMO theres a clear reason iCarbon design wins, its simple, flows with the natural curvature of the bumper, and looks the cleanest. It doesn't take away from the flow of the car and allows for a nice flow of black or carbon fibre with dark wheels, tint, and a diffuser. That's its goal, to complete a look and keep the car clean which I think is what most users out there are after, hence, its big lead in this poll. |

Anyone know the rims that are on the 135 with the iCarbon lip in the first picture?

iCarbon def had some fitment issues, like it was already stated, the middle part was coming loose and a few people got cracks after a while.
IMO, its the design thats faulty, when made out of CF, the piece is too rigid to be able fit properly. If the same design was made using urethane, it would fit perfectly but in CF, it just doesnt work. Think this is why it took them so long to make the lip, I'm sure they ran into this issue although Hamann is not on the list, I think this is the best route for them. so I switch my vote from 3D to Hamann |
