Performance bumper M-tech/135i bumper Oem 1m bumper Your bumper Sorry for the difference of picture sizes, I just pulled the pictures straight from Google. Like I said in the previous post they should have taken the top portion of the performance bumper and molded the bottom portion of the 1m bumper together instead of using the M-tech top portion like in your bumper. Idk why ltbmw didn't think of this when they decided to do the mold. If they did it the way I explained it it would resemble to the oem 1m bumper more closely. Did I make it a little more clear to understand?

nice looking bumper...the bottom line though, is that it's going to come across like you are trying to make your 135i look like a 1M. That has been a pet peev of mine ever since the days of my owning a Type R, and all the GSR owners were trying to make their cars look like a Type R. When I owned a Sti, all the STi owners were trying to get rid of the big spoilers, it was the WRX owners that snatched them up. To each his own, but this is not my thing.

Here are the pics but all re-sized to the same file size... this makes it easier to see what PlannBee is talking about... BMW Performance bumper... M-tech/135i bumper... OEM 1M bumper... Your bumper... |

Basically the part under the headlight, where the curve is, isn't matching up to the 1M bumper or performance bumper. Not a huge travesty, but noticable now haha

Same.. I was wondering something looked off hmm.. kind prefer the actual curves on the oem 1M bumper/perf bumper over what LTBMW did using the Mtech bumper upper part.. looks off to me..

im not nit-picking but the Kerscher version DOES have the curve similar to the performance bumper and 1M bumper. honestly i didnt notice it till PlanBee pointed it out and now that i look at it the Kerscher one "flows" better, BUT thumbs up for LTBMW for making a stateside option.
someone should ask LTBMW if they ca "modifiy" that. im sure if someone has a performance bumper JUST "layin aroouuund" that they will make one

I`d love it with 1m air ducts...
That`s what missing at the kerscher bumper, too.

Great news everyone! I have spoken with LTBMW and they will be redoing the bumper to incorporate that line that the 1M and BMW Performance Bumper has! I love that LTBMW is willing to listen to the community this way and redesign something even if it will cost them quite a bit of money. LTBMW FTW.

I think it looks horrible when someone retrofits 1 part from another model car (especially one with a more aggressive overall look to it) and expects it to flow well with the rest of the car. And this isn't me trying to protect the rarity of my 1M; when I owned my E46 non-M, I specifically went with the OEM M-tech 2 kit because I thought just slapping an M3 replica or M3 CSL bumper, like so many others did, looked silly.

I called LTBMW today, and I'm not sure how knowledgeable the person whom I spoke with was, but I was told that they were a month or so away from commercial availability...... would love to know if anyone knows anything more specific.
