How bright are these compared to OEM? I'd love to get a set, but I would feel silly if the BMS LEDs brightness and light output are lower than the OEM bulbs.

I don't think it will be as bright during the day time.

So how do these actually compare to the LUX? Anyone that's tried both?

I installed on my 09 128 vert and my 08 135 coupe... The vert was a bit of a pain as there is little cross brace/bar right behind both covers that I assume is unique to the verts, making it a super tight area to work in... Did it first prolly took me an hour.
On my 135 coupe, I was able to un-clip both covers and remove NIETHER... I just made enough space, tilting the cover(s) back a bit, to take out the old and plug in the new... 15 mins tops. For those yet to get/install, you might try the "no need to totally remove the covers" method. Both 1ers look/work great!

are these much better than the arc angel? I purchased the arc angel and they are okay. Dimming when the lights on puts them back to normal

Here is a pic I took with a customer who happen to have the Lux v3 bulbs in his car. Its a crappy pic and my car was actually getting more sunlight shinning at it so the bulbs appear a little more yellow then they do as in reality the BMS LEDs are a little bluer/whiter then the LUX. Regardless this pic will give you an idea of brightness as both cars are in one pic. Mike |

Those are on a 3 series though. I think the headlight design of the 1 series are different/ worse. Not trying to bash your product as I know they are great quality, it's just with the angle of the blue car a few posts up, my LUX look brighter. You're right it could very well be the picture and it's hard to show the true look.

The only way to get a true comparison is to take a pic of both at the same time. Hopefully as more and more of these get into customers hands we will get some comparison pics. For those who ordered in the last day we just got a new batch in so yours are shipping out today Mike |
