M-Sport will be the best $200 you ever spend.

I just ordered my 135i with M-SPort and I agree with some of the others here in saying its a no brainer .... I test drove a 1er last April and again right before I took order this passed weekend so I have been and drivin both. The anthracite is just such a great detail for the interior. The other goodies like M sills and M dead pedal are just the icing on the cake ...

I dont think its an issue of money. It really should matter only which wheels you like better because all the other stuff is trivial IMO. The headliner is not that big of a deal to me as well as the sills. So unless you go Le Mans you have the choice of wheels. i have the 08 and i love these wheels... They are the OG but if I had to do it again... I would just decide 261 or 264. Sounds to me like you want 264s sport wheels. If your sticking with your stock wheels get the sport package. Sounds like most will do the opposite. Plus if you do like the 261 Msport wheels its a great value.
Either way the 135 is an amazing ride!

All the other things in the M pkg are really nice, but for me, I put a lot more emphasis on my wheel choice. The 5 spoke looks just right to me. BTW, I didn't know that the M pkg comes with the M deal pedal?! Sweet! For those of you who like the M wheels, that's one heck of a "bargain" if something from BMW can ever be called that. |

Does the M-sport Pkg come with the M-shift knob for 6MT's?

I think there should be a Sport package that includes just the sport seats and shadowline for $800, then do a M-sport which includes the M steering wheel, the M shift knob and M wheels (and i dont care what headliner) for $1400. I hope they do something like that next year when my 128 lease is up and i can get a sport (non-M) 135i and save a few bucks and because i dont like the M wheel or shifter.

I'm going for the Sport package so that I can get the High Gloss trim which isn't available w/ M Sport.
Plus, with a convertible top the anthracite (black) top doesn't really come into play. |

The 2011 1 Series Convertible sales brochure/book seems to show a suspension difference for the M Sport Package. In the M Sport description, there's a pic of a car. Under it, it says: "The Aerodynamic kit includes a front air dam with generous air intakes, dynamic side skirts and an athletic rear spoiler. The M Sport chassis is lowered by 0.6" for tighter handling when cornering and a more aggressive look..." That same language isn't in the description of the Sport Package.
Forgive my ignorance, but if the chassis is lowered, I'm assuming the ride will be harsher. Correct? Can anyone shed any light on this? I may be ordering mine today. |

On the 128i the M-Sport package increases the speed limiter from about 130 MPH to 155 MPH. You also get much better tires with 128i M-Sport.

Probably to make a marketing difference between the 128i and the 135i.

I'm sorry, but I'm calling complete bullshit on this one. Take a picture of your window sticker. Oh, even the M3, which is a real M car only goes to 155.
