Quick post on how to detail your wheels and tires
Sonax Full Effect, Adam's APC, Prima Nero and Wheel Armour in action.
Figured I would post how these all work together. These dirty Audi Q7 S-Line wheels (about 1 month of brake dust) were cleaned with Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner (no brushes where used, just a pressure washer and the wheel cleaner). The tires were cleaned up with Adam's APC. After the rims and tires where dry, we applied Prima Nero on the tires for a satin finish. Prima Wheel Armour to them for a durable finish and nice shine. Wheels were extremely caked up with brake dust Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner in action! Adam's All Purpose Cleaner does a very effective job of cleaning all the grime off the tires, readying them for dressing. Clean wheels and tires Prima Nero and Wheel Armour to finish them up. Final results look impressive! The products used above are listed below. Adam's All Purpose Cleaner Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner Prima Nero Prima Wheel Armour |

if it happens you should try to wipe it off asap.
if that's not the case which it seems like you can take some detail spray to a microfiber and wipe it down. |

I actually did tape it up but still got some on there. I have tried everything to get it off (even carefully using some Tarminator on a MF cloth!) and nothing touches it. It's like cement and driving me crazy. I have resorted to continually treating the plastic with Chemical Guys Trim Restorer to minimize the effect, but I'm just covering it up. HELP! Any other ideas?

What's the best "daily" go to paint cleaning clay to use??
I've been using Griots clay after hand washing. I use speed shine as a lubricant and as a final finisher. I'm looking for a better go-to clay. I got Zymol Lehm Klay and the lubricant for it, but it's worse than the Griots...definately not a go-to clay to use daily/weekly.

Lots of trees above my driveway...and the car sits out often enough. Sap specs I find a few ..they may be micro-sized(size of a gain of sand), but I can feel them when I hand wash. I use my clay to pick up these specs. Car wash won't remove em'. I don't clay the entire car, I just spot clean with the clay I guess you can say.
I find the Griot's clay as very mild. It works great. Hopefully I can find a better clay though. I bet there's a clay out there that is even better than the Griots...

Cleaning Shadowline Trim?
Phil, there are a few of us who are forced to use commercial carwashes from time to time and as a result end up with water/chemical spots on the Shadowline Trim. I've reviewed those threads and the sticky as well but there seems to be no definitive answer as to what works best. Can you recommend something that's relatively easy to use and any product that could be used to protect the trim? Megular's no. 9 was one of the recommendations for removing the spots, but I couldn't find that at Detailer's Domain. Any help would be appreciated!

I'd like know what what phils suggestion is... id really not like to use a polish if possible as its really close to the rubber and i dont want that turning white

Hey Phil...
Question for ya. What do you recommend I wash and detail with if I have a lot of vinyl graphics or a full wrap on my car. Obviously wax is out of the question right? What if there are spots in the vinyl design where it's my cars actual paint? |

well unfortunately no, not yet. There will be a lot of vinyl on the car but there will also be gaps in it where my real paint it showing from the design. I realize with vinyl basically it's soap and water and that's it. Do I treat the stuff that isn't vinyl just as I normally would and lightly wax it by hand with like a glanz or something? I'm talking like 80% vinyl 20% OEM paint.
