I spoke to a number of suspension experts before doing these and all of them told me that there is no reason to do the shocks with the Eiabach pro kit. I don't think that new shocks would have greatly improved the handling or the ride quality. Also spoke to a couple of well know racing car drivers who advised against mods like coil overs for the street unless the car was going to be tracked often.
That's what I wanted to hear. Now I just need to source a decent price - preferably locally - and find somewhere competent to install them...

You can get them directly from Eibach. Call them on 02 9999 3655

They quoted me $369 +GST.

You should also be able to get the same price from the Brisbane agent

GSA Wholesale Suspension, 7 Aranda Street, Slacks Creek, Ph 07 3808 4691, Email, sales@gsad.com.au

Any good suspension shop should be able to install them.

That's OK... I'm sure the dirt won't obscure the drop...

There lots of room at the back however, the Bridgestones have rounded edges. I have 255/35/18 at the rear but could probably fit 275 Bridgestones without a problem.

The drop looks good mate. Hard to see how the rears sit but the springs will probably settle a bit more. Good to hear there's no issues with rubbing either!

I may be going down the Eibach path too

I thought they'd be lower... looks to be approx 15-20mm lower than my stockies now (guesstimating) but I guess that's an ideal daily driver ride height! Hmm eibach drop or go all out on coilovers, tempting!

275s in the rear? I'll believe it when I see it.

The 255 Bridgestones have a 8.6" tread width and the 275 Bridgestones have 10" tread width so I don't think 275 would be a problem. The 275 Bridgestones have a very similar tread width to the 255 Yokohama AD08 which has a tread width of 9.9" and people are using these on the 135i.

wow, interesting... I always thought 255 meant 255mm across the tread so I guess in theory the bridgestone 275s could work.

I've got about 4 cm from the tire to the front fender, wheels are 19 x 8.5 (ET40).
Does anyone suggest going with the eibach?

If you're in Sydney I can hook you up with brand new eibachs installed for $650
I'm thinking to replace my OEM springs with Eibachs, could you please hook me up with this place?

GSA have quoted me just under $420... http://www.gsad.com.au/

Also waiting on Andrew@SouthernBM to get back to me with an updated price. He wasn't aware that the price had dropped. Still listed at $660 on his website...

Brisbane Guys: What do we think of GT Auto Garage for installation?
