I will confirm the lights by tonight. And, we aren't going to be selling the headlights alone, they will be part of the conversion kit though. At this point we are still trying to see if we can get a deal on the headlights since we will be buying a few sets obviously. That should also be figured out by tonight, and hopefully I will be able to get you guys an estimate by then. |

Hey guys, I am going to be at the shop in a little bit, so any questions you have let me know.
As for color temps for AEs and HIDs, we are either going to need a consensus on one color (so we can keep the price lower) or we can do custom ones (how mine was done) but it will cost a bit more. Estimated price ranges to come later tonight. |

I have a question, as silly as it may be. How many LEDs are used in the AEs? Also for the shop, what kind of guarantee will be provided for the workmanship? Anytime you open up a headlight housing like is happening here, you're inviting bad seals and such to leak water into the headlights. So, if I get these lights and then I notice that there is condensation building up inside the lights and/or noticeable amounts of water in them, what is my recourse, and with who?
Regarding the AEs, are the individual blobs of light from each LED as noticeable as they appear to be in some of the pics, or is that because of the camera settings? Finally, and also regarding the AEs, how bright are they in comparison to the headlights, same brightness, brighter, dimmer? |

I believe the brightness of the AEs depends on the temp used. Sam has used the same temp for both his HID/AEs thus giving him a similar brightness to that of this headlights from the looks of his pictures. I would vote in favor of a 6000k brightness (White). Waiting for more info... |

I added a poll to the top of this thread to see what we end up with. For HIDs we have the 6-10k temps in stock. We can get the 4k ones, but it would be bought wholesale, so we would either need a consensus, or each customer would pay a bit more for a "custom order" As for the AEs, they are LED so its a bit different. The options as they stand now are, pure white, plasma white(what I have with the blueish tint), or everyone would have to agree on a "yellowish" oem color, because again, it would have to be ordered as bulk.
To answer AW128i's question: I am glad you brought this up as it was an original concern of mine. The seals on the headlights themselves are well done, and I can photograph them later if needed. There was a problem however with the corner "turn signal" area that we are addressing. You see, the turn bulb is not screwed in on these headlights, it is simply popped in, so if it isn't tight enough, condensation can occur. We are probably going to take out the headlights this weekend and see if there is any reinforcement sealing we can do there. I will comment on that once we have. As for recourse, we will layout all warrantied situations and such when we start to take actual orders. One thing to consider is that technically these are a "custom conversion kit" so we have to take into account issues like condensation, and prevent them. Hope this helps so far. Still working out a price (I am trying to get you guys a really good deal, hence why I started this group buy), but if we could get people to at least put their name on the list just to show interest, that would be best right now. |

Looks like we are getting somewhere! So all in all it would be easier to get the colors that you guys already have in stock so as to not increase the price even more?
And as you stated if you guys are interested put your name on the list on page 1. |

Right, the price would be increased a little because those color temps are not used as frequently, and would have to be special ordered for this, but if everyone decided to get one color, it would reduce that cost. Hope that makes sense?

Plz Add me for interest.
- other question I see you mention colour temps of The AE's. I thought LEDs don't have colour temps like HIDs? Is there any pic of the white AE's vs blueish tinge AE's like yours? also I'm not sure if you mentioned, but what's the temp of your HiDs in low beams in your pics? |
