I just got back from ordering my tires. I ended up going with the Kumho ecsta SPT in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 with TMPS and the road hazard plan. I know these aren't the best tires in the world but I feel like they will be sufficient for daily/show use. I still plan to pick up a dedicated track set in the spring.

Excellent, will be running these also in exact same sizes. Definately keen to hear how well these fit.

update: just got a message from DPE. The wheels are built and going to the finishing process. he said they will most likely be done in the 5th or 6th week. They got a little backed up from going to SEMA.

Yeah SEMA slowed things down a bit for everyone. Vorsteiner actually had my wheels, but they were unhappy with the finish on one of the wheels so they sent it back to get redone. Then I was told that they would be at SEMA so it would be another 10 days. Good thing I am here or the wait would be killing me more than it is already.

how's the price and quality of these compared to HRE's? I was thinking of getting HRE's once I'm done with my '56.

Price is similar, quality of the forgelines is better than HRE's. HRE's are great looking, but they are not the performance wheels that some assume that they are. Forgeline is in the same group as Fikse IMHO.
