Jericho, as as a fellow Ct resident, arent we required to display plates front and back? What's your workaround?

The work around is not putting a front plate on.

Don't draw negative attention to yourself and it won't be an issue. If you're street racing on the Berlin Turnpike then you'll probably get a ticket but commuting to work each day should not be a problem. It's been the law for many years (~10?) and I have never had a front plate and *knock on wood* never had an issue.

Hey guys new to the forums.

If you decide to lease a new car and order it... do they compute and lock in your lease payment at signing?

The lease rates (residual and MF) are really attractive right now. If I lease, I want to get these rates.

I just ordered last weekend, and we agreed to lease terms, and I put down a $1k deposit, but didn't sign a lease contract.

That about right. Mine was produced first week of September (probably one of first cars with new two-tone gray interior) and I expect it to be delivered first full week of October.

PS. This could vary depending where you are located. I'm in Eastern part of US not too far from NJ NY port of entries.

I would say that's the norm. 4 weeks is the min so I would say it can take up to 5-6 weeks.

I just got word this morning (9/17) that my 135i, ordered 8/31, is scheduled for production. The earliest PCD date is 11/18. That's just over 11 weeks (dealer said 6-8).

Wow.. why so long? I ordered a few days after you, my production just started as well, and I'm hoping for a mid-October delivery.

Mine seemed long too. I ordered 8/21, got the production number 8/23. Just got word today it'll go in to production week 39 which is the week of 9/26. I was told a late October delivery...when I was originally told 6-8 weeks with most likely a late Sept delivery. I was starting to get a bit frustrated but it is what it is.

Dont feel too bad. I ordered on 8/11 when I got my production number, but it wasnt scheduled until 8/23.. Today, I heard from the 1-800 number that its scheduled for production the week of 9/23. Im hoping to receive delivery by 11/01 as a whole lot of things depend on that.

The website and the phone is still saying "scheduled for production with no date", but my CA is saying it's in production. I hope she's right.. all of you guys with 2mo+ wait times are starting to scare me.

I hear you amelen. The phone system as of 2 days ago was saying "Your vehicle is in production with an estimated completion of 9/21." Then my CA emailed me the VIN and said it was in production. Now the phone system says it's scheduled for production with no confirmed date, even though I got a full VIN. I think their tracking technology has a lot of room for improvement, but soon enough I won't care

8 wks from the date you placed the order at your dealership to the date you took delivery at the dealership? That means you placed your order around 7/30, meaning this 8 wk period Included the 3 wk factory closure in August. Which I guess means it really only took 5 wks, or something.?

Ordered on the 26th of June, picking up the 24th of this month. Orders placed before August were not affected by the plant closure. So it was a full long and painful 8 weeks.

Call me crazy, but how does this not calculate to 13 wks? If you ordered June 26, wouldnt 8 wks have been delivery on or about Aug. 20?

Got an email from my CA. My car finished production today. Expecting delivery early October. For the record, I placed the order on Sept 3rd, but it wasn't entered into the system until Sept 7th.
