I love the styling of it and the grace but every review I read/watched said it drove like shit for what it costs. It isn't a drives car and if thats the case I'd say its in now way the "Ultimate BMW", BMW's are drives cars always have been. The Z8 while beautiful if it doesn't drive well would be the ultimate MB or "place other lookers car here". |

If the M2 is a 4 cylinder and anything like the engine in the 320i I think the 1M will become something like an E30. Clean E30s are selling for crazy money. Ironically the E30 is a 4 banger, so who knows. Personally, I don't care, I love driving and my car makes each drive a sublime experience. I will never say never, but I have not seen anything that has more appeal to me.

Special looks...It misses the limited slip diff to be the car it wants to be imho and well the E39 'M' V8 is a nice companion but that's about it. It's a car in a league of its own nontheless but imo definitely not comparable to a M1 tbh, M1 is Motorsport....maybe it's more cute Z stands for future in BMW language but it looks like a 'modern' teutonic retro-ish interpretation of a Cobra(which is a good thing!), so where is the Zukunft in that gorgeous car? Anyway, obviously the Z8 isn't the same type of car as a 1M..if you think thats what I was getting at...well then herpdy derp. I was simply making the point that BMW's best recent car they've really produced isn't far from 100k used, so the 1M in comparison doesn't match up. Don't get me wrong, I like the 1m. I just think it doesn't add enough value for the massive increase in cost, 60-70k is pretty nuts, 100k is ludicrous...but if you can get it, run with it |
