Just start a new thread or do some research... There have been a threads similar to this one already. I'm ready to purchase my Cobb this week, I'm just wanting to know a little more. New thread! So I can check out the responses

Thanks

New firmware out 6-3-11 wondering if it fixes the CC. Mine works I'm just throwing it out there for those of you who haven't checked in a while. Last time I talked to Cobb Engineers they said it could be released with the next firmware upgrade.

My guess is no.Usually there are instructions in the notes section under the download. There are none there this time, however by removing it you are doing no harm just possibly a bit more time. I am however not a know it all, I just play one on the internet

Missed that. Wonder why its listed under the 135i? Hope I didn't crush anyone's dreams of having CC again

My guess is that Cobb will post on this board once a fix become available for the CC.

Has COBB addressed any engine life issues with this tune? Dinan stage 1 speeds up the fan to aid in cooling.

Also, has the cruise control issue been addressed?

I am ready to buy this tune but need to know a little more regarding the above issues.

I just had my HPFP replaced and the battery due to the recall. They also had to update my car so when I went back to reinstall my Cobb it showed up as an unrecognized rom. I've sent to off to Cobb so here's hoping I can get something back soon. It's such a bore driving it stock now

- Actual and Requested TPS, despite very light and steady depression (perhaps around values of 30%) read, for short bursts at 81 (WOT, as far as I know).

- At lower RPMs, acceleration at WOT or near WOT would cause the car to vibrate/lightly shudder, most noticeable in 5th/6th gear around speeds of 50/60 MPH respectively. It was quite faint, but I could definitely feel it in my butt.

Has anyone else noticed either or both of these behaviors? Please state if you have a beta flash or not.
That's me on Feb 7th. I'm glad that I now have the linear throttle options which keep my virtual foot from mashing on the throttle when my physical foot's only 25% into the pedal. Thanks, Cobb, for giving us options.

Last night I updated my maps for the first time since February, and am very pleased with 202v2 (linear throttle/MT) and hope to see the already-increased MPG from stock save me a few more dollars.

I noticed, though, that logging no longer works (comm error) when on this map.

Interestingly enough, it works fine under the 202 map (regular, no alternate throttle).

Is anyone else experiencing comm errors when trying to log under an alternate throttle map? I'm on IJE0S, so perhaps it's limited to that ECU.

I'm on the fence with the AP. If someone could shed some light on the following i would appreciate it.

1. Anyone have any experience and comparisons with both the AP and JB+?
2. When my lease is up in 15 months, I might get another 135. Will the current AP be usable in N55 engines (assuming support is offered by then) or will there be a new product that I would have to buy?

The linear mapping is starting to grow on me. I have tried 201, which was entirely too aggressive for me...seemed like WOT at 20% pedal travel. The standard throttle mapping for 202 is much better; however, V2 of 202 may be the right match for my driving style. I will give it a few more days.

Any Arizona, California or Nevada drivers using the 91 maps, instead of the ACN 91 maps? What's your experience? I'm wondering if Chevron or Shell gas is good enough to run the non-ACN maps.

I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the gas, it is the blend that is used.

The ACN maps are more appropriate to California fuels. CA gas is pretty terrible, so if you do decide to run the regular 91 octane maps, just keep an eye on the tune and the car. If you experience any knock etc, you might switch back to the ACN mapping.

Some cars are fine, some aren't. They are aware of the issue but have yet to release a patch or workaround. It's coming though. Mine doesn't work, and it sucks, but then I hit the gas again with my big toe and the smile comes back to my face.

As far as I know there isn't any rhyme or reason to it. All the maps are affected and none of the new ones have fixed it. I have an '09 but it's been seen in other years and different ECUs. Supposedly there are a few guys running on a beta MAP that they got directly from COBB that has fixed it but the official release is still TBA.
