Nope, still in Germany. The car has been on hold. I've been obsessed with photo/video so I've been dumping money (and time) into that. She'll be back on thestreets when the weather warms up though.

Cheers for taking some time out to detail the parts required for a little project I have in mind Free bump for a sweet ass ride.

P.S. Weird how I'm most jealous of those StopTechs. Not sure if I want Silver or Yellow calipers :S lol

No problem. I wish best of luck to you. its a fun project and it will be worth it. It opens a ton of new doors to modifying the car.

I love my yellow brakes but sometimes wish I got the blue ones.

Long overdue update-

I went to performance technic today to check out the car. The motor was pulled and is currently being palleted up to ship off to miami to another 1addicts member.

My faithful N54

My new rear subframe and RD Sway Bars - I am going to try and run the front RD sway bar and a stock E92 M3 Rear

You can see the Turner Motorsport links and solid bushings

E9X M3 Front control arms with Dinan Monoball's - a new tranny bushing pictured too

Performance Technic always has some nice cars to look at while Im visiting

Hopefully 2016.

What is the N54 going into? Another 135i? I was kinda hoping an E30 or something.

N54 was sold to another forum member and shipping out to florida later this week.

A few more pics

Notice the ride height without the weight of the motor

Planning on doing a bit of a rebuild on the S65 before install to upgrade and avoid the main bearing issues and such that have been plaguing them as of late?

The new motor has 27k miles. Because it is out, we are going to tear it down and change out the rod bearings. The motor is solid and will stay NA. I'm not too worried about rod bearings- just changing for good measure and because the motor is out. I wouldnt say rod bearings are "plaguing" the s65.

Mods for s65:
- new Bimmerworld treated rod bearings

- dinan intake

- turner Motorsport pulley

- BPM tune ( M mode )

- full exhaust

All prices for labor will vary per shop. There is no set labor cost for something like this and I am having a whole slew of other mods both engine and suspension going on at the same time. I cant give an accurate amount but if you want me to ballpark, then PM me.

Main bearings, as in crank, not rods. Though I certainly would do rods at the same time.

oh - sorry - I'm not worried about the main bearings. We will do a tear down and inspect everything as well as do a proper break in and oil analysis.

Appologies if this has been mentioned before, but what's the weight difference between the two motors?

I'm on the edge of my seat man, can't wait to see some live videos!

The weight difference is only 15lbs. It will not change the handling of the car.

15lbs isn't much! That's surprising as you're going from I6 to a V8.

Can't wait to hear this thing scream.

Well, you should be. It's not at S85 levels, but it becoming more and more common as more engines cross over the 50,000 mile mark. And if you are doing a tear down it is just silly to not replace them at that point.
