They're just as ugly in 1/18 scale.

I've seen a few G80/G82 M3 and M4's out on the road now and with the exception of the M Performance Edition parts fitted ones, I am starting to warm to them. Certainly not beautiful (beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that) but does look very aggressive.

I totally appreciate that some people are into collecting these and that's great but why BMW spent so much time providing a license for this when there is still so many miniatures that have not yet been released!

I'd be tempted if they were 1:43 but I am not a fan of 1:18 as a rule

I noticed that the BMW & MINI Lifestyle websites have been down for maintenance for three of four weeks while updating,

1/43 sure are easier to display, that's for sure!

I would imagine it's down to incorporate the new BMW branding. I'll keep an eye on it and if it's still down in a week or so, I'll ask my contact at Munich what's going on.

Early stage photos have emerged of the 1/18 G80 M3 and G82 M4 with full access shown too.

These *may* be the Minichamps versions although I am not sure.
It has been said that the below are for the Chinese market only.

It is nice to see the samples, Some of the Minichamps items do get released in the Chinese market before the reat of the World, I spoke to Max Lang in the past when I saw a 1:43 in HK / China before Europe and he said that it was OK, I like the 1:43 MotoGP BMW Safety Cars

Yeah I am sure they will be made available globally. But even if it is a Chinese exclusive, you can always get them on eBay

I have a few China exclusives in my collection that were never released outside of China:

X3 F25:

6er F12
(Not taken any photos yet).

5er F07
(Not taken any photos yet).

7er F02 760Li China 60 Years Edition:

More 1/18 model news!

For those who missed out on the Kyosho / AutoArt E46 M3 or the later (and better) Otto ones, Solido will be releasing one in the new year in a couple of different colour options; Phoneix Yellow and Laguna Seca Blue.

They will also be releasing the E30 M3 in Mauritius Blue (Red is already available, Black Sport Evo is also already available).

And the E36 M3 Lightweight is also available.

Nice to see a new LTW being made. I was on the hunt for one not long ago but the ones available were very aged (and expensive). It'll be nice to pick up the solido and mod it a bit
