http://www.maxracesoftware.com/ You can deterimine proper primary lengths, collectors sizes, angles and scavanging effects by putting in valve timing events, bore and stroke and cam size. The reason SS and these headers look similar (and probably function similar) is because the data they input was essentially the same - the execution would be where they differ. I can't imagine that a production SS header based on the same data would have a 1 5/8" primary and while the Schmiedmann would have a 1 7/8" primary (nor do I know) but I feel confident that they both produce similar power. |

The real issue is that the market for our cars is pretty crap aside from Supersprint, not that all other companies that aren't Supersprint are crap.

I know the stock headers are restrictive, but for 1k plus are they really worth it? I'm interested but not for a while.

Well i called today and the underbody brace is on hold to someone else. How do people run a business like that. They Told me to call again on Thursday to see if he paid or not, and if he didn't i will get it lol. It was the last one they had and will no longer sell it because ultraracing said Schmiedmann was selling them too cheap!

Ultra accepts best offer on Ebay. I doubt they are crawling with demand...
Their brace seems to be 200 USD and maybe some shipping cost

135i rear brakes on 128i with handbrake fix
For future reference:
Making 135i rear brake's handbrake work on 128i: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=751080 Step 1) Must make "Supporting ring brake shoe" as bmw call it from the 130i/135i/335i/e9x xi (34216771430) for into 128i hand brake area, probbaly by replacing our version(34216771429) $10 a side for new 135i spec: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-335..._3.0L/ES60467/ 128i version: http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/34216771429/ES60466/ May require cutting or drilling new mount holes, but I doubt it the 135i part just looks to be a larger diameter with same mounting holes. The Knuckle does have one part near #12 which causes problems to this plan http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...30&hg=33&fg=30 That is where the brake shoe & brakeline shoe expander mounts with bolts. That metal tounge on 128i is too small. ( RISK METHOD = Possibly needs material added on top to make 135i brake shoes work...) Step 2) the z4 thread had the guy weld a pieace to the brake shoes to make it work. In the 135i brake shoes need only about 2 cm from 128i brake shoe are needed to add by weld. http://audio.home.xs4all.nl/zooi/z4/...11schoenen.jpg Optional step 3)One step extra to make it OEM spec: Removing our 128i 34216792239/34216792240 back plates in favour of 135i's 34216792247/34216792248 back plates. Because I had to cut & bend the 128i back plate to make 135i rear rotor not rub: img of 135i part:: http://c1552172.r72.cf0.rackcdn.com/111517_x600.jpg img of 128i part - smaller diameter all else equal:: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTU2M1gxNj...KNw~~60_35.JPG 135i brake shoes & supporting ring: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...21&hg=34&fg=40 Discussion continues here too: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...3#post15293663

Evolve S85 intake
http://www.evolveautomotive.com/arti...ent-continues/
looks great. I wonder if we can replicate. Ebay had some n52 MAF holers. the rest can be PVC pipes and such.

I think given the narrow window for gains that there is with the airbox, and the level of apparent research in this product for just a few HP, I doubt an Ebay/Home Depot hodgepodge will yield any real gains.

Make a new thread! I had one for my E36 M3 and thought it sounded great. I would love to see a write-up with development photos and such. It is always great to have more products available to us.
