I don't get the point of everyone worrying about cleaning the wheels.

Besides being a concept, those wheels will be on a car wit Carbon Ceramics and there is no brake dust. At all.

The only delicate part I can see is the coating of the CF barrel, otherwise just power wash and air dry

In regards to the practicality, HRE obviously choose a design that shows off a structure that can't be machined. One of the cool benefits of printing...

Forging is a bit of a misnomer, lots of material has to be removed from the wheels by CNC mill after forging I'm sure. Lots of products start with a big block of aluminum and then end up as a small part when all of the material is removed. It's very wasteful.

But that gets collected, melted again into a new piece.

What happened to actually forging a wheel’s face? Like BBS RS centers.

These are forged with a gigantic press directly into its final shape/design, not cut out of forged piece of alu.

I love when people say "good luck cleaning those". People who buy these wheels have dedicated wheel cleaners on the payroll.

I'm a bicyclist and have seen a number of catastrophically failed carbon parts from "the same plant that the big guys use" to trust whackadoodle design.
bucky or keith, he is just feeding the specs into a 3d printer at the end of the day. And your carbon argument is apples to oranges, you have to hand make carbon parts...

But the specs from one are actually scrutinized by engineers and Bucky's are just eyeballed.

You have to touch a wheel once in a while to properly maintain it.

A majority of those harsh cleaners are really bad for the finish of wheels and brakes.

Apologies OP~ 🙏🏼 as is

Wheels are usually trending slightly along its path ...bbs y spoke or mesh variants etc.

But..then, is the split spoke dead ?

Cleaning concerns again I suggest proper
- pressure washer and regular
' maintenance '
I'll take the split-spoke any day.

Wheels look great. Odd French stripes on a British car, not so much.
