Idk what it's about but I see alot of guys on the fb pages getting low averages too
For what it's worth, I changed out my plugs and coil packs a couple days before the tune. I've just been eyeballing, but with about 150 miles driven, with the occasional spirited sprints (ya know, just to make sure I'm actually tuned lol), and I've only used up a quarter tank.

Yeah, I'm not complaining, just a little surprised that adding the tune made that much of a difference. My Speed6 lost 1 mpg when I tuned it. The 1'er just lost 7.

I've gotta go over some stuff. It's always smelled like gas when starting up if it was recently turned off. So I'm thinking there may be something going on with the evap system?

Mine did that as soon as I went cat-less. However, once I put the tune on it went away....weird.

More tune will always expose weak spots- that's basic rule #3 I think...
Fix all the things you can find, add tune then fix all the new things you find which were triggered by the extra stress, but would have been fine for years if you didn't tune...
Yeah, the rebuilds were just a stop gap until I could get something better. It's weird though. Injector 6 failed so I put in a rebuild and it was ok for a few weeks then started getting rough idle on a cold start. I lived with it for a month or two then bought another rebuilt injector and swapped out the old one - same thing happened. OK for a week or two then rough idle at cold start again.
I went into limp mode after some WOT and got VANOS codes plus a misfire code in #6. That was on the first rebuilt injector. The second rebuild hasn't "failed" that way yet, just the rough idle.

I'm kind of at a loss short of buying all new injectors but as I'm buying a house that's a large nut to have to find right now. Car has plugs with 6K on them and I swapped coils around so it's probably not that.

I'm probably walnut blasting this weekend and depending on time will code the #6 and maybe even install the tune.
There's new 12s for sale in market

Yeah I'm not catless yet. But there is the chance that the cats also went. Going catless and tune this weekend so I might 'fix' the issue

I've got about a 1% friendly cat percentage. Versus an assumed 95% friendly dog history.

I had a cat and he was actually really cool. Dumb as a box of rocks though.

Luckily the part that popped off on the charge pipe was an easy reach. Loosened the clamp, slid the silicone sleeve over some more and repositioned the clamp, really gave it a crank down and took it for a drive. Much better. I don't think I've been fully clamped down since install Sunday. The charge pipe has a much smoother feel to boost. It was nice to get out there and really blast around on my lunch break

If you have a dashcam take a video of yourself the first time you hit boost on the cat-less DP's and tune. I wish I had.

That's a good idea. My drive home from the shop is an empty 60mph stretch that I'm sure to let loose on a bit.

Catching up on the last couple pages!

On the temp topic.. I have always questioned the temp readings.

This is what mine always rides at, regardless evening or blasting midday.

But then on my girls N55 it's always just shy of the 250 mark..

And gas mileage on the 135i is usually 21-22 with a heavy foot, cruising on highway I can get it to 24 mpg. The M2 was doing 26 on my road trip to Atlanta but it was not tuned. Just DME adapting to the mods.

The 135i you get on it and you see the fuel flying back
