I've got 2 laps left on my card so I'll be back at some point. I'd like to go tomorrow but my dad and step-mom are in town and she won't ride with me on the Autobahn.

Me too. I've got two laps on this card. Went in with a guy for the 4 lap package and then bought him out. There were a couple wrecks that day, a Golf rolled out there. I don't know how bad it was. Really didn't feel like sticking around to see as the track had already opened about 45mins late.

16th seems to be the day. We have 4 or 5 coming up from Stuttgart already. Who else is joining in on this fiasco?

16th does seem ideal but I have a ring taxi scheduled for 23 Sept so don't want to make that drive two weekends in a row. I'll probably go up the evening of the 22nd, overnight at Spang, change to my Toyos, then drive the ring Sunday...

I can't make the 16th but I could come hang on the 23rd. In fact if I am lucky and all goes well my suspension will be getting installed that weekend. Maybe I'll be able to break in the new goods on Sunday. If not I'll pit crew for you and maybe get some pics at Karussell.

This is kinda of a strange question... What age do you have to be to ride in the car while driving the ring? I might have to make a trip out there from Bamberg if you guys don't mind me tagging along.

Ride in the car or Drive the car? Anyone with a licence that allows driving on German roads can drive the 'Ring. I've seen children in child seats riding...

Anyone can ride along. Driving like Kleen said, requires a license. People take vans and SUVs with people packed in them.
And would be glad to see you out there. Should be about 5 of us so far for this Sunday.

I would like to take my son with me but I think he is to young. What ages have you seen riding in car seats. Plus I wouldn't feel safe doing that I don't think. I might be able to find someone that could watch him. What is the average time it takes to drive the ring. Like the whole process? I think he would still love to come see the track.

The whole process? Depends where you park and how fast you go. Can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes per lap depending on how you drive it and traffic that day.

You can watch my YouTube video of my last lap, my buddy laughs and says "that guy had a kid in the back seat" about half way through. The best thing to do I guess would be call, or ask DrillSlinger if he knows?

Honestly kleach18, bring your wife or have one of us watch the little guy while you take a lap. There are some strong "G" forces on some of the turns and if your kid starts getting fussy, the track is no place or time to be parenting...
A lot of us here on the European forum have wives and kids so we can help you enjoy your 1st track experience. That's one of the nice things about our group, very family friendly as I've taken my kid to many 1Addicts events.

My wife is going to watch my youngest son. So I'll figure something out. Anybody from the bamberg area heading out that way want to meet up and make the drive together?

What insurance info do they need since this is a loaner? I have my USAREUR licence and full coverage on my family car. When I called usaa and put the loaner in the system they said it's covered under the rental car insurance of my coverage.
