We will meet in Vipiteno here at this gas station. I think we all should fill up there too... bc after this point there aren't too many gas stations up in the mountains. Artemis told me he used this gas station just last month... its no longer a SHELL, but it still has the yellow and red color scheme, and they still are selling Shell gas - just under a private name. Weird. Welcome to Italia. 13:00 on Friday here... Shell Tankstelle PGL (Gas) Jaufenstraße, 110 Sterzing, Bozen Italy Just next door to the gas station is: Hotel Restaurant Zum Engel Via Deutschhaus, 20 39049 Vipiteno BZ Italy We plan to have lunch here. Last year we sat outside and it was quite nice. We ended up staying a few hours... so arriving around 13:00ish is fine. We should depart by 15:00 for the Bella Vista Hotel. Send me a PM and I will give you my handy number - just in case. From Vipiteno to our Hotel BellaVista - is about a 1:30 to 2:00 drive. Last year we timed it just right... driving the long way around the Sella mountain range... just in time for sunset. It was magical. Here is the route from the gas station to our hotel... https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Vipi...79!2d46.481521 Dackel

Initially no pre-run was scheduled for Friday July 17. However, some asked me whether I could put something together as appetizer, provided a departure from Munich around 10am by some. Hence I proposed Vipiteno/Sterzing (Austrian/Italian border) as meeting point and 1am-3am as time window to "land", for those coming from the North. Subsequently (thus at 3am) we plan to hit the roads again with the hotel at Sella Ronda as final destination of the day. If your traveling schedule and/or road circumstances (queues/roadworks) do not allow you to make it to Vipiteno/Sterzing before 3am, feel free to chose one of the following options:
If you come all the way from Prague and plan to stay in Lienz (Austria) on Thursday evening (July 16), certainly grab that opportunity to drive the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, as it's on your way to Lienz (not free of charge though). https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Prag...2d46.82769!3e0 And on Friday, when leaving Lienz in the morning towards the hotel in Pecol/Canazei, here's a suggestion for an exciting journey for you (please note that, realistically speaking, there is a reasonable chance that the group will opt for roadmap B on Saturday July 18, thus skipping the region East of Sella Ronda, which you can drive on Friday July 17) (247 km - 05h27 if no queus): https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Lien...d46.481521!3e0

Yeah, we've already planned a route, similar to what you suggested. However, think we're gonna sleep over in Sölden in order to meet the rest of the group in Vipiteno on Friday.
Anyways! In the anticipation of our trip, we've decided to have some stickers designed for us. I think they came out very well and it looks cool with the tinted windows. If you guys are interested in them, hit me up and I can secure you some.

^^That decal looks AWESOME!!! You can put me down for four! How much do they cost? I bet you could print up 20 of them and sell every one of them on the tour! Dackel

We're glad you like them, guys. Thanks!
It should be possible to make them smaller too, I'll ask the guy who did them for us and let you know as soon as possible. PM replied, Dack. FYI: one sticker costs 15 €. It's a bit expensive, I know, but couldn't get a better price from him. I'll do my best to get it down. It is of high quality, though. We have had a similar one on our other car and it's as new after two years. Last edited by swagon; 07-09-2015 at 11:44 PM.. |

So how many people we have?
Also, the smaller sticker is 25 cm long, the larger one 35 - for those who wanted one (or more). If anyone wants the sticker, PM me!
