The A-Class is going to be a popular hit for Benz. It's a hot hatch - not a supercar. And for a hatch I think it does the job in the looks department.
Benz is really stepping up a notch in its design - it looks like they are targeting a younger / more sporting market imo. I won't be buying the A45 but the A250 has got me interested as a relatively quick, nimble but fairly practical daily drive. Also the upcoming GLA might offer an alternative to the X1 etc. |

Saw a red demonstrator on the road yesterday. Quite like the proportions though a little high sided, the front says Mercedes but the rear is rather generic. Mercedes generally make a quality product, especially in the last 4-5 years, that, along the Mercedes cache will sell it . If the interior is a really nice place to be that can make up for compromises in other areas.
I'd buy one. The question for me would be is there a sufficient gap between it and say a Golf in terms of features, quality and performance to justify the price difference? |

Anyway.
Had a look at the A250 yesterday and probably going to order one Monday when pricing is confirmed. They've done a nice job on the interior and I like the moonroof. Boot space is plenty and has good head height in the back I thought. Reverse camera, park assist, nav et al was nice as well. |

not quite right lol and that screen DOES Look horrible, like a cheap aftermarket GPS that's just tacked on there.. whatw ere they thinking? ED: and what's with the whistling noise.. and the loud cracks on gear change sound out of place with the rest of the exhaust noises. Quote:
$63k for an A250 sounds a little high, too... is it THAT much nicer than a golf? heck, isn't that R money?.. or what about an audi A1, or even a higher model A3 for the same price? i'm not a big fan of the seats, especially the headrests. Last edited by flinchy; 03-02-2013 at 09:35 PM.. |

But the gear change noise I hate... sounds like it's taking a poop. Sounds like Audi's poop change too. |
