When I look at it I keep thinking that the aspect ratio has gone from 4:3 to 16:9 like when you stretch a standard TV signal to widescreen.

The car really looks like a piece... and why on earth would they put an AMERICAN engine in there?? The S65 V8 shits on any V8 out there. Blasphemy!
Looks like a Pikes Peak rally car, at least from the back. I wonder if it has a 5 foot long front splitter, then it would really be a Pikes Peak rally car

It was a European hill climb car. Plasa was going to run it at Pike's Peak before he had his accident and both he and the car passed away

Three different, purpose built, cars and they do not share too many similarities except for a couple of BMW stickers.
The GC Automobile car is a silhouette. For some sort of french silhouette formula (my french is not good enough to be able to read exactly which). Mide-engined and based on a tube frame. Not unusual for those types of cars to be built on a single engine. The plastics remotely look like a 1M but could be swapped to look like anything else. American heavy metal provides affordeable horsepower. That's all. Georg Plazas hill climb 1er was front engined and actually really based on a 1series bodyshell. A regular 1er Coupé mind you. It was built long before the first 1M rumors ever came up. It was powered by a Judd V8... pure high tech, pushing the limits of the regulations. A monster of a car and a true BMW enthusiasts project. Unfortunately it killed its owner and driver. RIP Georg! The DTM M3 is also basically nothing more than a (front engine) silhouette racer. The chassis is a carbon fibre monocoque that all DTM cars share. The engine will not contain too many parts (if any at all) that were ever used in a BMW. Besides being tested in the same wind tunnel, that the stock BMWs are tested in, this car has no relationship to anything BMW sells. It may look more like an M3, but again, that's just plastic. A pure marketing machine, for a pure marketing series. Those of us that remember the days of the e30s racing in the DTM know what true touring car racing was. These plastic aerodynamic monsters will never be able to provide the same, fantastic show!
