Chaps I stopped by super cheap yesterday after the track day and they have a BOGOF special on fire extinguishers.
also I dont know if anyone got the mounting bracket or not but I tried to track the part down from bmminiparts.com but there seems to be 2 seperate part numbers. unless someone can tell me why i guess i'll buy them both |

I rec'd 2 brackets from bmmini this week, I must say i hate that website and find it rather confusing!
After finding what appeared to be my seat there were two seperate part numbers with the same description, i thought WTF. So I asked and got no reply Ok then guess I'll take both. One appears longer with an additional dog leg, whereas the shorter is simply a right angle bend. I'll attempt to fit them up on the weekend and take some shots |

Ok so the confusion on the duplicate description and separate part numbers is well.......they both fit! Just different style (would have been nice for a photo from bmmini) please see both photos and one has the extra 'wiggle' but both fit the seat (yes i am a little retarded and you need to be careful as the supplied screws will kinda self tap). Just be careful as they are easily stripped. for a little added protection i put a couple of ZIPPPPPP ties on the mounting bracket and the seat frame, just to be sure there are no nasty surprises.
Ohh almost forgot the last photo (sorry a little fuzzy) you will see the SCA brand fire extinguisher mounting bracket, i had to (lets call it) tap the mount on the right out 10 - 15 mm to match the bmw bracket but all good |

i'd say the drivers side pokes out an extra 7-10 cm. i'll see how it goes but i might get another shorter L shaped bracket for the drivers side if it is obtrusive.

Like I said I'll leave it as is for a couple of weeks and if I find it either visually or physically obtrusive i'll swap it out for the shorter L bracket. If I was buying right now i'd definately get the shorter L shaped bracket only. Oh and the BMS super torch was a god send looking for the mounting holes under the seat |
