So this car has the DSC/DTC which can be turned on/off via a button, and the "E-diff" function which is fixed and cannot be overridden? (If I read that right...the language could have been better polished.)

I can't see a need to disable, if it remotely does what it says it does... which is to try to immitate a conventional LSD. This new eLSD seems to simply be DTC (which normally applies brakes to spinning wheel plus shutting down the fuel injectors), minus the killing throttle part. |

That's how I read it as well... and further, the e-diff isn't in effect unless DSC/DTC is disabled. That's definitely new news.

Any idea when the E82 will show up in online BMW ETK Parts?

It's already on http://bmwtis.com
I know AndyM had a 24 hours subscription a while ago, and got a bunch of part numbers. I don;t know when there will be a ETK/TIS downloadable version of it, as they seem to have moved to that online subscription database, in lieu of having to burn thousands of cds every quarter and distribute them. |

The free one, Larry, the FREE one! I've used RealOEM.com and was hoping for it to show up there. Oh well. :iono:
