Bama, cool beans another person sharing the count the 135is vin hobby.
Including the Canada M-Sports I get 502 coupes that includes what I think may have been the first 135is vin WBAUC9C53DVM2956 built on 2012-04-03. So if you don't have that, we are within 3 cars. Pretty good! every time i do a random check I find one too many or one too few I haven't counted the 6mt trannys but they sure look in the minority. The check for the Canada cars is the S548A KILOMETERTACHO Kilometre speedo code. thanks to MightyMouseTech. Crazy Man, try not to hurt your self |

Hey, when your car is still on the slow boat, you have to do something to pass the time, and strangely enough, I've always liked statistics - I think it's a sickness. I compiled exterior color, interior color, transmission, line and date for the 2013 model year - 1,290 cars counting VM12956 (135 coupes only).
I stopped counting backwards at VM13274 when digit 10 went from D (2013) to C (2012), I didn't realize they had stuck some 2013 in before that point - with 12956, I now have 499 IS as of 7/17 Here's the quick breakdown: IS 499 39% (200 are MT) Mspt 614 48% Base 160 12% LE 17 1% Total 1290 overall MT take is just under 32% |

While I think you guys might be borderline insane, I do applaud the time and effort you've put in and truly understand the madness that goes on during the long wait.
I'm curious though, based at least on what I can tell anecdotally from the forum, is if you're able to show over time how many IS's there are. It seems like as we've gotten to the end there seem to be a lot more of them and several people a week on here appear to be ordering and receiving theirs as people appear to be making a mad rush to order a 135is before they're all gone and a dying breed is no more. So, I'm just curious if you see the monthly IS numbers going UP in the last few months. Felt like there were hardly any cars or info out there in February when I was going through the ordering process, but now you have a lot more cars, pictures, videos, etc. as the allotment seemingly is down to only 1 or 2 spots left. |

It looked like the build count peaked in the last 3 weeks and has fallen off this week. We may well be nearing the end. It is truly remarkable that bama and me have pretty much the same number. Next, time to update the color chart.
Bama, that's what got me started sitting around waiting.. I must be insane , I live on the planet earth. Cheers |

Hey, if I could find a better planet, I'd go there. Venus is a little warm for me, and full of women (both good and bad), and mars is full of scary monsters.
And I wonder if we'll ever see a picture of a cashmere silver or titanium silver IS coupe! The cashmere silver may end up being the chupacabra/bigfoot of the bunch. The bluewater metallic one on here was also very interesting to see, but alas, he only posted one pic, never to be heard from again (I assume killed by the cashmere silver). |

Just curious, do you have the number handy of how many of the Canadian cars were built?
I don't think there will be that many, when I ordered mine, the Sales Manager did not even know about the option. So excited, the car arrived in Halifax on Tuesday, should be arriving at the dealer here in about a week and a bit. |

No question, BP -guilty as charged.
I do a bunch of data analysis for a living, I think excel is our company language. Once I started wading thru the VIN looking for my car build (I didnt have my VIN, just an approx production start date), I figured what the hey, I'll keep track of the details. And then I started wondering how many other Carbon/Blue Stitching were built, and then how many of those were MT.... Once the project got rolling along, it was difficult to quit - sure am glad they only made the 135is for one model year |

Thanks to BP for sharing his data - comparing our two lists and fixing a few misses on both our parts, the build chart is up to date at 519 units

If Ian is correct on end of production in August, we'll probably see maybe another couple dozen by the end - 135is will indeed be a rare bird. |

cpsquare8,
using the 519 coupe number which represents about a ± 3% factor to my original count and applying to the 223 convertibles I have counted I guess right now about 230 convertibles. 519+223 = 749 P7MFA Cars of which about 45 are Canada cars |

My 135is never showed up in the WWL tracking data, so I'm not sure if is accounted for in the numbers above. VIN ending in VU41969 - DSB LWNL 6MT. The WWL data shows very few (I believe less than 10) 135is shipped to Brunswick, which is where I was told mine went. My understanding is that the Brunswick VDC handles cars headed to Florida and other Southeast states, seems like there probably would have been more 135is than that in Florida? Unless the info I was given was incorrect and perhaps the Brunswick VDC is not set up to perform the "is" port mods? Or maybe K-Line did a lot of the Brunswick deliveries?
It would be cool if we started an online registry like the 1M guys have. The total number of cars seems manageable. I know many of the VINs would remain unclaimed but it would be neat to see the data for those that do become identified.
