Yes, iDrive with BMW Assist's Convenience Plan offers Google searches which integrates into parts of the iDrive...plus Concierge (live contact for information), weather, news, stocks (meh)...but costs $199 per year or about $16 per month. With regular iDrive's Nav system, you can use Google on your computer and send the information to you car where Nav then uses it.

I'm also curious if there will be a software upgrade for the new functions with iPhone apps or if it is hardware-based; it'd suck if it were not possible to upgrade... ('buy a new car' isn't the upgrade path...just yet

When the press release came out for the MY2011 cars (mostly to announce the N55, I think), the photos showed clear lens Euro-spec cars. Do a search and you should find it. They hit market first, and are the models usually used in press photos for many manufacturers, not just BMW. While it's possible BMW may have eliminated or subdued the amber corners, don't bet on it until you actually see a US-spec example. Last edited by Bimmer-Bob; 12-17-2010 at 03:28 AM.. |

All over the front light if it is amber-gone and is white LED angel eyes. Just hard to justify swapping for these if it's $2k tho... Anyone want some amber cornered Adaptive Bi-Xenons?

So I guess the LCI is a little bigger hit that we thought it would be. Honestly I like the changes. Might be tempted to trade my 135i in for an LCI 128i coupe

Do the 1-series phone adapters work with the E9x cars? We need a iphone 4 cradle like this one.

Something seems odd here. BMW's Combox (Sep '10 production onwards) has the text and email to feature for BlackBerry OS6 only. And even though the press release for the E82 press release mentions RIM Office integration, the video shows text/email displaying from iPhones into the car. Anyone know if iPhone integration for that functionality is around the corner? Technic?
